Hopefully they are all out of it, or at least had the
fight taken out of them by time the ladies get there.

The Grand Poofty? Jeez… These people don’t have
or want a clue! “Oh it’s just a female, no one will
get upset about it.” You ass-clowns might want to
read up the Empire and it’s rules, you will bring
hell-fire down upon your most royal a-holes!
“Respond as if you had killed them” Yeah, not smart.

I thought historically it was the Grand Mufti.

A grand mufti can be compared to a bishop.
        Without the celibate of course.
The secular ruler or monarch would be called
        chalifa or calif.
A calif often has religious power too but
        not necessarily.
With a sufi order a chalifa is just the
head of that order so as an abbot.

Heh, pigs do as pigs do, this guy is never going to see
Allah, much less get his “reward”

    • Michael
      July 4, 2024, 11:42 | #

The reward in form of virgins in heaven might be a translation error.
Some say the koran is not 100% original but was tried to put in a
certain high arabic when one calif collected and standardized the koran texts.
The muslim have some stories how it was guaranteed that all is authentic but
i think that was made up.
Anyway, some say the original stories were by app 30% in a dialect mix of
arabic and aramaic and some was not understood by the people who compiled
the koran texts from oral tradition.
The part with the virgins when considered an aramaic text as origin might talk
about sweet grapes. A very common picture in early christian communities.
There was a lot of influence to Mohammed from jews and also from christians
but from the strictly anti-trinitarian syrian church.

True, many of the current beliefs are heavily distorted
by the modern-day leaders to suit their agendas.

        interpretation not translation…
the Nobel Ouran was never meant to be translated.!
Nobel Quran = original text.. Quran = modern text.
        koran = translated.
yes… the NQ never ‘says’ 72 virgins,.
it hints at ‘up to 72 “Houri” for the “Most Faithful.”
That some how interpretated into – martyrs get 72 virgins…

Houri = celestial being, of a most pleasing form…
which is interpretated into a young
voluptuous, chaste, loyal female… (permanent virgin)

Ok, I’m sorry but I’d LOVE to see a three panel comic where the dragon
-flys pop in saying, “Hi!” the bad guys look surprised, they drop the
grenades, spoons flying loose saying “Bye!”, bad guys looking shocked,
last panel, bad guys looking hat grenades on the grenades, one of them
saying ” Oh Shi…” And, hey, maybe a bonus panel! All red, With zoom
lines going out from the middle, with “boom” written in yellow letters.
Simple, direct, and to the point!

The remaining baddies can’t have been
bunched that close together if it took two
      grenades to neutralize them.
IIRC (Basic Training was over 40 years ago)
a grenade has a blast radius of 7 meters
(18-20 feet?). Feel free to correct my memory.

        M67 fragmentation = 15 foot killing (5 meters)
        50 foot injury (15 meters)
so,, by D&D spacing rules, 3 foot per person,.
that would get 13 in one blast..
        edit: went an looked..
the Vietnam era, M-26 , M-61 could get up to
7 meters,, but had so many problems, that they
revised the design over 8 times. finally replacing
        with the M-33/M-67..

After all, Teresa does have a double.

      • JasonAW3
        July 4, 2024, 18:11 | #

I pretty much figured that the android Teresa swapped with the real one
in the super deep mud hole. It’s the old swapping out in plain sight idea.
If you have to swap for a body double, the less people who know, the better.
Swapping in the mud pit would definitely fit the bill. The android would likely
be using a retreat her to keep her temperature down in the pit, while not
using up the oxygen in the pack, the fuss made by the other Teresa would
distract observers from the pit, where someone else would fall into the pit,
likely two or three people, so when more people than fell in, climb out, that
could easily be written off as an observation mistake, because of all the
mud. Essentially, using an old magicians trick. Keep people looking at one
hand while hiding what the other one is doing…

Some more fun facts about Islam and bible.
Muslims refer to the bible as the jews and christian but
see Jesus as one of the prophets only and not the last one.
The current sect of fundamentalist muslims goes back to
Mr Abd el-Wahhabs from the 18th century in today Saudi Arabia.
That is until today the main place where to find Wahhabits
    and Salafists.
Others got converted by missionaries so as Afghanistan but
they follow another one of the four schools of law in islam.
The word Al-lah has the same origin as the word El-ohim in
    the old testament.
It is going back to the ugarit god El, the highest god in their
    pantheon.
Baal f.e. was a weather god that had to obey El.
Els wife was Athirat or Ashera who is mentioned few times in
the bible as wife of Elohim.
The other word for god in the bible JHWH has its origin
north east of the red sea with the Shasu people.
The bible merged stories from both areas.
Took some time to transform from the mesopotamian pantheon to
    one god only.
Thats why there are prophets rage against worshipping Ashera,
    Baal and such.
Before that David called one son Adonija (My lord is JHWH)
and another one Beeljada (Baal recognized).
There are other opinions to some of the things i mentioned.

Jasmine (our rescued cat) has healed up enough and my son and I
found her escape holes and sealed them. She’s ran to each and
every one, tried to get out, them begs me to help her get out! She’s
been couped up to let her heal and to learn she can trust us. She’s
a stray, it’s very hard to convert a stray to an indoor cat. I’m hoping
exploring the rest of the house will help, but sooner or later she’s
going to get out again. I just need to convince her this is her home

Yeah, my cat got out after the tornado hit Claremore and it took most
of June to get her to trust me enough to pick her up and bring her back
into the house. Last night she was all over me, and seems super happy
to be back inside. (She’s a one eyed, long haired, black cat, and I suspect
The 100 degree temps and thunderstorms kinda disagreed with her.)

As near as I can figure, she was dumped as a kitten. Trust has
been a hard battle with her, I have the bite/scratch marks to
prove it. She’s been in our bedroom since last February, I got
her fixed not 2 months ago. She’s ready to join the rest of the
house-hold, she’s just scared of it for now. it took her almost
a month to let me pet her, another to sleep with us in bed.

Yeah, PK, (short for Pirate Kitty) must have been pretty spooked.
Took me over two weeks to get her to trust me enough to pick her
up and bring her into the house.
Funny thing, I held her like a baby on her back, and she localized
her displeasure, but didn’t struggle at all, and no claws at all.
Lying on my side while I type this up on my Kindle, my cat is
snuggled up against my chest, like she’s trying to make sure that
I’m not going to leave her.
She’s also become very vocal, ‘talking’ to me frequently.

Same with ours, but she’s scared of my father, she hadn’t seen
much of him over the time, so now that she has the run of the
house she’s afraid to go much past our door, now that it’s open
to her. I ordered a “cat tunnel” in hopes it can be a hiddy-hole
for her and we can start closing our door at night. I also
bought her a “floppy fish” motorized toy and it terrifies her.

The European Caliphate has been attacking the Imperial kingdoms since they
took over Western Europe. Border raids against the kingdoms of Poland,
Romania, and the rest of the European Empire, kidnappings rape and torture..
They’ve made their feelings and intentions quite clear. Murder, rape, mass
      destruction, the usual Islamic priorities.
What would you have the Imperials do? Sit back and let them continue in
      a one-sided orgy of violence?
“Despite what we see every day, we know that Islam is a religion of peace,
it’s only a few radicals, so we’ll ignore the attacks, take the high ground, and
      do nothing in response”.
Really? Where are all of the “peaceful majority” of Muslims? Sure, a very, very
few speak out against the violence, but then, the Quran commands all Muslims
to lie to deceive their enemies. And in their eyes we’re ALL their enemies.
The Empire has enough reasons to fight the Caliphate. And the Grand Puufti
has already made all of the communication that was needed.

        Ah, well. That changes things.
Big rocks, from a high orbit.
        Repeat as necessary.

The single event that convinced me of the general corrupting
influence of Islam was Cat Stevens’ endorsement of the fatwa
on Salmon Rushdie. Yeah, definitely a passenger on The Peace Train.

I don’t know what to say to you all.
Creating the Wolf World is one of the pleasures in my life, it will continue.
Promise. Just not today. Monday, though. There are too many stories in my head
    that need out.
    But yeah, sorry.
I hate dealing with people face-to-face. Especially the slimy little con amateurs who
think they can steal from you and you have no choice but to take it.
Ever since that ignorant tech fucked me over, I’ve been doing my own work. Gotten
pretty good at it. Seems that no one builds creator computers.
“Gaming! Gaming! Gaming!” That’s all you hear about.
I swear, if I hear one more little punk say, “If you’re not gaming, you don’t even need
a video card!” I’m going to choke the little bastard with a USB cable.
It’s like the blind guys describing an elephant. People are only aware of what’s in their
    very narrow field of view.
I just spent all day dealing with a woman who’d ordered a custom computer for her
    son, the “artist”.
She’d paid for most of the parts before I ordered them.
All premium, all would be outdated by the time his skill level got high enough to
really use them. If he didn’t get bored first.
When you meet a customer for the final payment and delivery and they say,
    “I’ve been thinking…” you know you’ve got a problem.
She told me that the computer wasn’t really worth what I was
    charging her.
“So I took the liberty of writing the check for X dollars.”
Total would have been less than the parts cost. Never mind labor. If she’d
paid the full asking price, I would have made less than minimum wage for
    my time.
“Ma’am, we agreed on a price, you signed a contract, you have sixty days
to pay the full balance owed. In sixty-one days it goes on Craigslist.”
    The stories I could tell…
Most people are good, honest folk who cause no problems.
But the ones who aren’t punch way above their weight class.
She’ll pay. Because if she doesn’t, I’ll sell the damned thing, deduct
my expenses, (Including my time spent trying to deliver it) and mail
her a check for whatever’s left. Which won’t be much, as it’s a very
specialized, custom-built-for-her-son computer. Way overkill and over
priced for “Gaming”, so few people will want to pay even what the parts
cost. This is the last time I build anything that I have to charge more
    than three figures for.
The comic will continue on Monday. It’s too important to me. Thanks for your patience.

Some people have no ethics. There – I kept my words family oriented.

If she pays within sixty days, well and good. You’ve gone beyond
reasonable giving her that extra time. If not, selling it to recoup
the balance due is, well, not all you can do, but is a reasonable,
restrained remedy to her lack of integrity. Interest on the balance
due might be very reasonably charged, unless the contract already
stipulated the sixty days upon completion.

I have a friend who is a collector of firearms. As our friendship
developed, he offered to sell me a firearm I really, really wanted,
at what he paid for it, if he had a spare. The one caveat is that
if I decide I don’t want it anymore, I sell it back to him at the
original price. Seemed fair to me. He’s offered that same deal to
two or three other people in the last few years, and they’ve each
screwed him and sold it for way more elsewhere. One in less than
a month of getting it (Colt Python). I don’t know how some people
can sleep with themselves at night.

Hang in there PC, and remember: Illigitimi non carborundum
(and yes, I know it’s not “real” latin).

lorem ipsum,. it is real latin,, just not used in
the syntax of the time.! IE: the language we speak
now, would not work in the 1700’s because of the
        syntax…
modern “good day to you.” old english “good day thee.”

No worries pal, we’ve all been there at some point.
Rest and relax, we’ll be here.

I stuck my head in last night about 1930 and saw it hadn’t updated. My only
concern was your health. I was worried you were ill. I’m just relieved it wasn’t
that. No sweat, PC, we’ll keep.

As for that “If you’re not gaming, you don’t even need a video card!” bravo
sierra … I don’t do gaming but if I was still into flight sim I would definitely
need a decent video card. Doing 3D modelling means I need some fairly
serious graphics capability whenever I reorient the model I’m working on
or when I’m in Photoshop Elements (can’t afford/don’t need the full PS) it
can really bog down when I’m working on textures and have 10 layers open
in a .pse graphic and I’m working at just above the pixel level. People who
spout generalized nonsense like that are assholes and beneath contempt.
There are many other uses for a computer than gaming which require higher
      end graphics support!

Even with the 1080ti I can have up to 10 min wait for any model I’m
slicing and even then it can fail and have to be restarted. I can guess
how long it can take with your level of rendering PC. Laymen/women
haven’t a clue as to what it takes to create any kind of artwork on
a computer, it’s more demanding that any game out there. I shudder
at attempting any kind of 3D CGI animation would be like.

Best choice for the USB cable to use is Anker.
    Six foot length should do.

Should be strong enough to do the job.
I’ll mail ya some if ya need.
