“They’re here!”
Now THAT sounds like a war story to be told, recorded, and
passed down through the generations (and Special Forces)
I hope PC will let us listen.
That is very good to know. That opens up the possibility of psychological
warfare. Like, they sent you a flotilla which you wipe out and you send
back one of their ships in pristine condition, just without the crew.
Sure, that is a scenario that heavily depends on some conditions to be
met, but this is about the possibilities and not specific scenarios.
That’s a bit like the Grayson system in the Harrington novels. No matter
what the Haven sent there, nothing returned. Sure, they assumed the
enemy simply destroyed the ships they sent, but they only got bits and
pieces on the how. In the end they decided not to try to conquer the
system anymore despite the importance of it for Manticore and it’s allies.

Sure, they probably got rid of the colony with guerrilla warfare.
But make them not coming back? That was psychological.
Leave the bodies in the destroyed colony, maybe even display
them, that is something you can deal with. It’s gruesome, but
it’s something you can understand.
But a colony in perfect condition with just the people gone?
And that message in a house barricaded from the inside?
Sure, they might have gotten to your people somehow. That’s
rather clear, but you have no idea how. No idea what was
done to them? That’s when your own imagination fills in the
blanks and is often worse than anything else, because they
are your own fears.
Well they needed to go “shopping” AND give Cherry more tips, smart girl,
most young women would either get embarrassed and lock up, or try to
brag about how “she already knew” everything. I feel for her issue for
her car, I’ve seen it before, my Camaro was the envy and it got key’ed
more than once. It was dumb, I had plans to have it repainted after I’d
replace the front fenders, rebuild the engine (with a few extras 😉 )
and swap outthe transmission for a 400 turbo… and then I got married…
Hmmm… both psychological war and stealth combat proficient! I think
these rabbits have a spot somewhere between the Cats and the Dogs, one
is a ruthless predator, the other is a steadfast defender. Shock troops
maybe? Secops? The more I hear about the Rabbits I can’t help think they
would make excellent members of the Empire. And be a huge help in the
coming war. I just hope they agree.
True, I’ve come across a few burrows in the pastures. They might
be as well. but the shape of their bodies are all wrong for it
and they don’t appear to have the claws for it. People can’t see
them very often but I’ve been scratched by a bunny or two, they
have claws nearly as bad as cats do, and their kicks don’t feel
good. My wife had one for a pet for a time, and my sister loves
the damn things for pets as well.
correct,. “bodies wrong.” these critters are plantigrade.
and the burrowers are all Digigrade.. the upright posture
is bad for digging an backfilling tunnels..
They may have dug in, using tools rather than natural talents. They may
have evolved away from the bunnies in the forest, but you can’t take
away the old instincts. It’s RL humans, we still have our tribes. Red/blue,
religions, whole countries, factions, so on. It’s instinct.

Panel two (not going to try and retype Cissy’s conversation);
Sounds like what Cissy is describing is a Japanese geisha,
old style and modern. Intelligent, conversational, sex if
requested but not mandatory. Well read, well rounded, decently
educated, well mannered. NOT a whore or a prostitute.
I would agree but that “president” hardly struck me as the talking
type, same with that guy in the bunker that got squashed. Bossy,
demanding, willing to cause harm for the sake of it, always trying
to prove their manhood by beating the crap out of anyone unable to
stand up to them. They think they are smarter than anyone walking…

I would think, not so much psychological warfare, as guerrilla warfare

Re panel 8: terrestrial rabbits are burrowers.
It would be simple to attack the bad guys
from below and backfill.

I guess the rest of us will find out later how they did it.

Struck* jeez…
Just because someone in power rapes you,
then leaves money on the table after,
still doesn’t make you a whore/prostitute

for that and that only.

Would Brylcream help to keep it under control?
