Question for Catman. Thought it was officially the “Wolf” Empire. (Always wondered about “Dragon Empire” in “The Gentle Wolf” comic). If so then why is the monetary unit the “Dragon”? In a movie that would qualify as a continuity error. (Enquiring minds want to know.) 😉
?? Bill, you’ve been here from the beginning. They just changed the name of the Empire for various in-story and real-world reasons. No continuity error. And the citizenry have been calling their currency unit dragons for some time. It’s really more or less the equivalent of the $10 gold eagles rather than dollars. Makes me wonder if there are half-dragons and double-dragons by extended analogy. There are bound to be units smaller than a dragon. A small candy bar isn’t going to cost a dragon, and it would be inefficient to force purchases of trivial things to always be in multiples.
The Dragon is the main coin, the Ruhk is D.10, and the Kajm is D.01
It all began as a joke on the real dragon, Kajm, by naming the lowest denomination after him.
Technically, it is still the Dragon Empire, it will become the Wolf Empire when Teresa becomes Empress.
