Emphatic opinions ignorant in their content expressed ignorant of the audience, yeah, all in all might be best for Miral to move on to the next campsite. Woman has an opportunity to actually learn something here and is squandering it trying to show how much she already knows (which, sadly, she is). I’ve met this type all too often, in several genders and orientations. Usually not worth trying to educate. None are so blind as those who will not see.
I am a little surprised by the lack of formality, or more properly the familiarity, even in this new addition to the Empire, using the first name of strangers who are in a superior position with no hint at a title. Kathy these people might know and might know her preferences, but not Teresa yet. Kind of refreshing in a way.
A sudden fit of honesty forces me to say I’ve BEEN the type I just described all too often. As some of you have probably noticed. Character flaw I work on.
Ditto for me as well. I still slip up and then I wonder why people look at me funny. Sometimes my mouth is on the road and my brain is in park. Damn fits of conscience/honesty.
Yeeah, same here. You’d think that at my age, I’d have made myself into what I want to be.
But every time I turn over a new leaf I find another creepy-crawler underneath that needs to be stomped on.
After rereading this, I can’t see how the next strip won’t start with Miral standing up and shrugging out of her backpack. She may or may not give Max time to stand. Miral might have shrugged off an insult to herself and left, but I don’t think she will one to Kelly and the others paying in blood for her people’s freedom. Insulting the government is one thing, insulting the soldiers is something else entirely.
DAMN! That bull dyke is not only ugly but STUPID!
Considering that most of the people that Miral cares about are military…
