hummm.. carrot-top still paying attention.. i can see this going,, bad .. .. she confronts him,, or she lets it play , an corrects it down river..

Lt. Sharma.: “Dad,? can i call you dad..? because when you started this, you had noting but the best intentions for your daughter.. but when you saw the COST.! you could go no further,, except to fix the damage done..
this is why we are having this conversation.! we heard nothing but good.. so why not pay in kind..
we wont bother with the dark outcome of this… we both know where that would go…
and before i go,, tell your wife , ‘Mom’ that we all say thank you.!!

Lieutenant Shama’s face, third panel… I can’t quite put my finger on it, but that expression is SO intent. Rapt… like she’s hearing something she’s been wanting to hear for a long time.

And Mavia is wearing a velcro tie from the looks of it.

That or a limitation of the CGI rendering process. My experience (woefully limited though it is) with such software would cause me to suspect that the software essentially treats clothes like an additional layer of texture over the 3D model. Therefor one would expect that it would follow the model’s contours.

Never worked with the software but that makes sense. I still like the in-universe explanation. I wanted a tie like that, back when I wore them. Had to make due with tie clasps and pins.
