Zasha appears again. Pilot and medic.
Girl has skills and a desire to learn.

Interesting! It seems these air taxis are something that the pilots of the Dragonflies can operate upon discharge or retirement from the military…

Good father to son advice… In fact, I wish that a lot of people coming from the outside to foreign countries would learn this lesson as well… The old “when in Rome” advice…

Dragonflies are a whole different level. The air taxis are computer controlled, the driver guides it.
The Dragonflies can be computer controlled, for example, if still operable when the pilot dies, they will return to base and land themselves. But the pilot
can limit computer assistance to the limit of their competence. I don’t want to spoil a coming storyline, though…

I’d imagine the Dragonflies would also return to base if the pilot is incapacitated, but not dead…

Of course! The Dragonfly AI is currently being trained to do so while dodging enemy fire as well.

I think I’m making progress in making things that look real. Here is an HVAC unit to heat and cool the hospital and office modules for a unit in the field.

What do you think. Could it pass in a story? I still have to figure out how to package it so that the Catman can import it onto Daz Studio. that’s a whole nother issue. entirely. I don’t see pursuing that aspect until I can reliably make sufficiently realistic models.

    Bill – Have a look here https://www.bing.com/search?q=NSNs+4120-01-219-8759&PC=U316&FORM=CHROMN
click on the “images” – especially along the top two rows of pics.
Re: current Army DEPMEDS ECU models which heat/cool/ventilate both the TEMPER sets but also the van-sets of equipment.
ORs and other comparable hard-shell type needs of the hospital.
These are “desert sand” color, but out were OD grunge color.
Some pic visualizing trailer mounted units and vehicle mounted smaller stuff.
    Maybe give you imagineering ideas.

GOOD NEWS! A certain care package which was mailed (priority mail, no less) to me on the 22nd of November and which has displayed a status of “In Transit” since 27 November, finally got a status update. Yup! as of just before noon – Eastern Time – the package was officially logged in in Jacksonville, Fl. Travelled a whopping 140 road miles in a mere 19 days. At this rate I expect it to arrive here in Alamo town around May Day or there about. For reference, prior to the coming of railroads and other mechanized means of transportation 20 was considered to be a day’s travel. By that arithmetic somebody could have WALKED the package that far in just over A THIRD of the time the U.S. Postal Service (something seriously oxymoronic about that phrase) took to haul a PRIOTITY MAIL package.

Remember, friends. Those who can, do. Those who cannot (or plain don’t want to) go to work for the Government so they don’t HAVE to.

I’d sent two inquiries through their system. The only response came Thursday, in a survey to ask me to rate my satisfaction as a customer.
I actually smiled, well, grinned, before I settled down to take the survey. In the written section, I began:
“You people have testicles so large as to have their own gravity field.
I send you two inquiries about a missing package, which you ignore, yet you actually ask me what I think of your service?”
Then I went on to discuss math, time/distance, etc.
I guess that in this case, the squeaky wheel finally got some grease. I just hope it continues on it’s way without hindrance.

And now it’s back to the same-old. Sheesh.

Our Package from Indy to Greenwood, IN, only took 9 days to go 25 miles.
Must be some sort of record.
