Well, considering their personalities, what is the most likely action for each?
Jochi is pretty extreme on the round ear scale, the “Calm Intellectual”.
Mavia is an experienced Scout, with the necessary situational awareness and judgement, and the combat abilities.
Each one sees the circumstances from a different point of view and will act as they think necessary.

My guess? Jochi will separate the girl from the, er, I would say morons, but that would be an insult to morons, Mavia will likely knock those, ummm, objectionable pieces of animated filth, on their butts, chasing them out of the restaurant, and those OPAFs will be banned from that business from now on. The two of them either punish the OPAF, or get the cops to take them in for judgement.
I suspect that they’ll get hit with a substantial fine, (paid to the waitress) community service, and court fees… Plus tax,of course…
My $.02? I figure asshole there is gonna reach for Sharice and/or approach her aggressively and then Katie-bar-the-door! It’ll be a race between Jochi and Mavia to see who gets to him first. I don’t expect the encounter to be lethal but the boy IS gonna be in a major hurting status.
ok.. 3 possible out comes .. 1) most unlikely “lethal” one of the ‘idiots’ pulls a weapon.. so. unless that happens, like Bill sed not gonna happen.!
2 an 3 depend on whether or not idiot grabs/hurts Sharice ; if he does hurt her , then yes lengthy hospitable stay, from both cats. ,, i think buddy will just stay in chair..

All sapient lives matter equally. When some feel some of those lives are being valued less, it is their right to point out that inequity (and iniquity). When there is empirical evidence to back that opinion up, I think it is their duty. But instigating violence hurts ANY cause, no matter how just it is to start with.

Petercat, I am *literally* hammering out the end of the first book, one paragraph at a time. YES that pun was totally unintentional. YES I went back and emphasized it. I hope to be able to present the finished piece to my Beta Readers (this means You) by the 4th of July.
I’m willing to take on another Beta reader or two, if anyone is interested / enjoys sci-fi / fantasy (with a definite Biblical tang).
