I’m curious about how this was set up, and by whom. Obviously not standard succession protocol, or the ex-prez would have known about it. And I wonder if the man between him and Aaron made a similar attempt and failed, or if he set it up and told Aaron about it before he died. And was she carrying the beamer somehow or was it built into her or hidden in the bookshelf?
And what’s the bodyguard’s reaction? Does he die by his own hand to pay for his failure, attempt vengeance, or simply turn from the old prez and salute the new one, like the honor guard at a US inauguration?
Damn! That was too damned quick. Rat bastard never saw it coming. Asshole deserved a period of suffering and mortal fear before passing. He needed to soil himself BEFORE he died. After his death he deserves Mussolini’s fate.
While this would be ideal, following the guidelines of smart Evil Overlords; Get rid of him quickly and efficiently, this prevents future problems such as escaping.
It’s too bad it took Aadam this long to take down his father.
However, until now he really didn’t have the firepower or man & cat power to back it up.
Aadam sounds like he will make a great ruler if he has or can learn the other necessary skills.
On a lighter note, I’m kinda relieved to see Aadam was wearing makeup and not a facial tattoo. And amused at myself for just now seeing the pattern. Doubled consonants are only for officers, but if you’re high enough in the aristocracy you get doubled VOWELS.
