What can you do to the kids (and the parents who facilitated/financed the mods)? I’d be surprised if the “donors” were left alive after the transplants (“They’re only Cats, after all. It’s not like they’re people“) Under Lamian law what they did was probably totally legal.
I am wondering about that too, and I’m sure you’re right. I would not be surprised if the days of trying people based on whether they violated their OWN law are past. I would also not be surprised if PC has planned a way for them to be guilty under Lamian law. There ARE Bookists on that planet.
I don’t really think we are in the midst of an Apocalypse, but I will admit, things are looking a bit grim in the short term…
If things turn out the way I expect, this will turn out to be good practice / trial run, fr national response for future potentials disasters…
I hope there won’t be too many more deaths, if any, but it should be a good learning experience for what to do nd what NOT to do in similar dire circumstances
