since the craft are from Terra (Earth),, an they used nukes, in the fall, all the the Terran craft will be EMP shielded (hardened.)
and the drives are different tech.. in my opinion,, because of the GOLD paint, (in real life) makes a really good faraday cage..
all that will happen is a pretty light show on Miral’s craft,. (think Northern lights or St. Elmo’s fire.)
the other craft ,, no effect or some intermittent outages while the EMP is in effect. (IE: the radio cuts out..)
Could have an issue with grounding… A lot of helicopters, especially in storms and dust storms, build up a great deal of static electricity, and need to have that safely discharged before landing… A good Farad cage, while good in the air, could cause arcing issues when landing…
no… an yes… i worked (AMS) heilos in the military… just about all aircraft are a faraday cage… the charge is dispersed when landing,,, but when hovering ,, then they need a grounding wand.. before transferring cargo.
they/we ground the A/C before fueling to make sure no charge is present…
because of the faraday cage design , the charge (lightning / EMP.) will flow around A/C an back into the air,, ( hence ALL Terran craft are EMP shielded..) an because the Gold in Miral’s A/C will make a better shield,, an cause the light effect as the charge passes her craft…
