I would think that a society who accepts a different species of sentient beings would have less of a racial problem within their own.
But, people are weird.
It’s nothing like that. The humans are homogeneous, they have literally never seen anyone who looks like Kathy before.
Plus, they have a harsh, almost Germanic accent, and Kathy has a very soft and smooth voice.
