Except that English is a fairly new language. Things written 500 years ago are basically incomprehensible to English speakers today. So the dragons did a LOT of interfering.
True, much of English comes from many places in Europe,
just distorted. But plain English vs the common slang IS
different and always changing. So a strong mental projection
would be needed to pick and choose the right words etc…
