Spent 41 years married to a 4′ 8″ (being generous) flaming redhead.
I used to tell people -everything- you’ve ever heard about them is
-true-, but -so- worth it.
Mine was raised with 3 brothers, a half brother, and 2 step brothers and
one baby half sister than was nearly 7 years younger… Add in her native
Indian heritage, well, it was interesting 😉
We rarely fought, but when we did, it was loud and she wasn’t afraid
to throw a punch, even though she knew it wasn’t a good idea LOL.
I’d block and she complain my forearm felt like steel blah blah… 😀
That did change after my second back injury, she forgot herself and
made it worse, all because she got the idea in her head that I must
be cheating since we weren’t intimate… No way a back injury could
be the issue I guess. I was back on those damned crutches…
That makes me very happy, that the demons joined the Empire.
the GC lost a member and they have a fighting force that not
only knows their BS but is getting a HUGE boost in both defense
and offense. The Howlers need to reach out and at least look
at the gift basket they’ve been handed.
That admiral reminds me of that commadore from the TOS
“The plant killer” (I think that’s was the name) that decided
to take command of the Enterprise. I get he was grieving,
but still, he was NOT the man in charge. The captain and
his/her XO is the one calling the shots, The Admiral can give
orders not take over a ship just because he wants to have
some fun. That’s like your teen-aged kid stealing your vintage
Austin Martian for a joy ride O_O And not driving it right…

yes a Flag officer can take over,. BUT there has tobe
a reason. (decker used capt. absence.) the plot hole
was he was on medical leave.

I thought I had it wrong, But it’ been a while
and my wife isn’t sleeping much, so I’m not either.
The Demons and Howlers both present never-before-encountered issues,
besides both being the first considered that appear to not be from the
original Diaspora from Xanadu that created the Core and Fringe.
The Demons are spread across multiple worlds, like the Humans,
and many of those are slave races, they will have to give up and may
owed reparations to by Wolf Empire law.
I don’t know if that has been considered up until now. The Howlers are
the first race to my knowledge that does not have a single united
polity even on their home world, besides Terra of course, so is kind of
the opposite situation.
I look forward to seeing how both are handled,
assuming the spacefaring Howlers take the bait.

Since they accepted the Empires laws, any reparations would fall under that.
With the Howler factions, they have religion that’s doing that, as we know,
that creates more problems than it solves. A county’s leader should never be
a “god” in the eyes of the population, Egypt was like that and while it was
effective for a time, it also lead to it’s downfall. Too often someone figures
them out and manipulates them into destruction.

ships have 2 or 3 (assigned) “Teams” that rotate watch. so everyone
can rest,. (Enterprise-D has 3)… .. now if he asked, she would have
said yes (probably), as they were under normal operations…
That’s like a general deciding to stand a watch for shitz and giggles.
The navy isn’t old enough for an “old guard” so it’s silly for anyone
to have the idea for “old times sake.” I get the shift idea, but to take
a shift when someone might need you and not know where you are.
When Bones forced him to submit to a medical exam was when he stole
the shuttle. He was so overwhelmed with guilt and grief and PTSD that
rational thought was beyond him. In that state of mind you only have
2 options, go stone cold emotionless or do what he did. He had NO
business taking command and he knew it. He was just like Captain Ahab
at that point, nothing mattered to him but revenge. Picard very nearly
went that way in First Contact, he and the crew was lucky that gal got
through to him.
Elegoo printer arrived, once the self-test is complete I’ll give it a test run.
MAN that thing is fast! Both my old printers ran at 60mm/s, this beast
tops out at 500mm/s. I’ll stick to max 200 until I’m used to the thing.
A benchy took almost 2 hours on the Ender, 43 minutes on the Elegoo!
Cracks me up though, It self-cleans the nozzle, so it had a “poop chute”
but they only gave me the print file to make one…
I just started it heh. It comes with a camera, so I can do time-lapse video.
I want to fire a rocket at amazon, they AGAIN “lost” an order.
I ordered a tackle box, not for fishing, but as a printer tool box.
The small trays are idea for parts and nozzles, and most tools
are small. I did pick up a rechargeable mini dremel too, which
the trays were ideal for the tips. As a test, I printed a nearly
life-sized skull, came out beautifully.
This was one of the few serious “fights” Jackie ever did.
They were making contact. no Hollywood near hits.
Bruce Lee was my idol, but Jackie was next up. I’ve
sparred like that, no joke, that HURT heh.
