He seems to think and judge as he finds and not prejudge.

Little prince switches smoothly and appropriately from following orders
to giving them. Yeah, he’ll do well with more power, especially with the
experience he just got and is likely to get in the future. So, he’s still a
prince because his grandfather’s the current monarch. I was assuming
this meant the couple operating the flying craft weren’t his parents, and
that meant they were either caretakers or kidnappers. Now we’re back
to they were possibly the parents, but the kid hasn’t grieved much,
hasn’t really even mentioned them. And doesn’t blame the Marines.
I might be a combination of being hurt and semi-helpless and
he wanted to figure out the new-comers. Or he just knew he
couldn’t boss around Imperial marines. Either way I agree,
he’s not an entitled whinny spoiled child like so many other’s
have been. So family might have taught him right.
I think it’ll be pilot error, granted that drop-pod was small,
but so was that plane-thing. if a pod is traveling in a straight decent,
it should have been easy to miss it if they were paying attention.
I’d bet staff, pilot and wet nurse. The kid might
be going to join up with his family after school.
The accident is suspect though, a little too
convenient that they struck that drop pod so
stupidly. Unless they use cell phones or the pilot
and the wet nurse were making out… Or they
did it as a first step in a coup. Like the Romanian
story arc.

Plane traveling at what speed, on a planet with zero other aerial traffic,
due to it being a PRIVATE hunting preserve for the royals ONLY.
Yeah, pilot error, but when you have clear skies, and you are the only
thing in the air, you should pay as much attention as in crowded skies.
Pilot error for assuming that the alien fleet in space might not also
enter the atmosphere, thereby pose a navigation hazard for flying traffic.
I’m just saying that if the pod was going straight down, a simple correction
of just 1 degree would have avoided the impact. Someone wasn’t watching
their board again… The pods’ speed would be a minor issue, it couldn’t be
going too fast or the guy’s would have been paste, or at least hurt, not
the best way to start a mission. The pod didn’t have thrusters, so not much
in braking there.
