Or rather, if I did read both first, I thought it was obvious
I was referring to the top one because Smoke and Flame
are visibly standing in the corners behind Taritha.
I’m fine. San Antonio isn’t really in the hill country proper.
The only places in SA that flood are parts of the freeways downtown
and a couple of interstate access roads.
I built my house WELL above the 100-year flood plain. No worries here.
I’ve just been getting my lunch eaten by something I’m trying to do
with 3D modelling – which I think I’m going to abandon for now.
Glad you’re OK bill, last time I seen something THAT ugly was when I
noticed that “girl” had a 5 o’clock shadow and a bad wig. 😛 😉 heh.
I would, the humidity will be high and it’ll mess with even PLA prints.
Another big problem was that it was much higher than the
100-year flood plain. There are flood control dams on almost
all rivers in Texas, many started after the floods that inspired
the song “Texas Flood,” which you have probably heard per-
formed by Stevie Ray Vaughan. We live just a couple of
miles from the Brazos River, but it forms Lake Whitney here.
It’s the last flood control river before it goes through Waco
and down to Houston. Take a look at it on a map. We have
seen this lake as much as 28 feet above its full pool, in 2016.
Imagine how much water that takes to do that. And imagine
what that much water would do to Waco.
I don’t know if you ever get down to San Antonio
but if you plan such a trip contact me.
Maybe we could get together for coffee.

Depending on how much rain falls and where and depending
upon the river in question things can go from barely a trickle
to a torrent that would scare the crap out of Noah in easily
that time frame. And as TubT mentioned it all happened at night.
Few people up and listening to the radio at the time of the flood.
Ah, so the daggers were dropping mines over the bridges,
now they have to play “Asteroids” with 34k mass missiles. Better yet,
“Missile Command” but they are not ground-based counter missiles.
Smart missiles? Ni-i-i-i-i-i-ice.
Yeah, I see that now. It’s just in 6 you see a Dagger
flying towards the ship, and the Toby is small enough
in 7 it was hard to make out. Daggers’ are more mobile,
but the Tobys’ have a larger magazine, Either way,
those ships will be hard-pressed to stop all those missiles.
If I’m remembering right, the Daggers hold 36 missiles,
the Tobys hold 60, that means IF they are fully loaded
they have in total 8,640 missiles total. IF they fire 2
per core missile, one-shot-one-kill, they’ll be fine. Murphy
does rule after all, I just hope if any get through it’s in
a secluded area.
Hmm. Imperial envoy, and no bodyguards.
(Correction – no visible, obvious bodyguards.)
I’d say both the prince and princess have had
training, and we all know how Miral is!
Silly me. I thought you were talking
about Taritha and was confused.
Ah, yes. Understood. I think I posted the comment about
the top episode before I even looked at the lower one.

Has anyone heard from Bill?
Hope he is in good shape.

Bill, was the flooding as fast as I’ve heard? 20 feet in 20 minutes?
The worst part was that it happened in the early hours of the
morning, when most people are asleep. There is a story by
one of the writers for Texas Monthly, just released, that tells
their experience. Quite harrowing, without being overly
dramatic. https://www.texasmonthly.com/the-stand-up-desk/a-story-of-courage-from-one-of-our-own/

Daggers were taking out the defenses, Tobies placed the mines.

“All of your starships are belong to us.”
Call me childish, but it’s cool to see the old jokes like this:

Yes, they are “deep fakes.”
You’re right. Some of those were pretty good.
