Careful Miral, books can be as bad for facts as the internet
can be, Too many authors mix facts with opinions.
Japanese History in my day was written by white scholars,
NOT by those who lived it.
I’m sure today’s data is a bit more complete and precise.
Not the romanticized/ dramatized crap I read.

Hmmm…. Sneaky, it still can go either way. He could be a
defender or an offender. He could have escaped to try and
tract down the guy that did it. This could be a trap for
her as much for him. To be honest, there hasn’t been a lot
of evidence to say for sure either way.

My money is on offender. I perceive his attempt to
snatch her out of the hall as an attempt to keep
      from being incriminated.
Unfortunately, it will be next week before we know.

Knowing how PC likes to give us the twist…
I’m just playing the devil’s advocate here.

Think about it, if he was guilty, why stick
around? If I got busted for that I’d want
to clear my name or run for the hills. The
latter being the most likely for the guilty.

          Ah, yes. BUT, remember,
he was locked in his room at the consulate.
          And escaped.
Where he is now IS his run for the hills.

That is true, but moving to a different location in the
            same area isn’t running away.
We don’t know if he was helped, or knew of a way, either.
I’m just saying this reminds me of the events of when the
Bun’s planet was attacked and we all thought it was a sim.
I’m just looking at all angles here.

Terysa to Svetlana “Sorry for the crowded shuttle but the
sub-orbital flight will be short. By the clock we’ll arrive in
Jerico before we take off.” Taritja to Teresa in her office:
“Aren’t you going to swap places with Terysa?”
Aren’t they in Jerico now? I’ve been trying to guess who
              was involved in his “escape”
to get him this far thinking he’s undetected.

I believe they are in Russia. Which is where
Terysa said they were stopping to deal with
a diplomatic mess. I’m guessing this guy was
the second to the ambassador for the Empire
to Russia, which is what’s making me wonder.
Because if so, wouldn’t the Dragonflies had
ok’ed him at some point? The process to
select someone that important couldn’t be
                that lax would it?

The meeting with the Russian Prez and Press was in Russia. The
start of that sub-orbital shuttle trip was in Russia. The two
look-alike door lurkers sure look Russian.
But unless I am wrong the scene did a swift switch between
episodes 1337 and 1338 to Jerico.

                    Good point, Jochi.
That more easily explains Lenore’s presence as well.
I guess we all get to wait till tomorrow to find out.
Maybe find out. PC is sneaky sometimes.

Hmmm… after re-reading things I guess you are right,
he ran home. That still doesn’t say what Terysa’s
Dragonfly found out. Or how he was able to escape so easily.

                    Jerico. most criminals run home.
it’s what they know, and where they think
                    they can hide…
the two guards “Lev & Pasha” are Russian
                    embassy guards.

Let’s us look at it this way, we don’t know what PC’s plans
are, and things feel off to me. Either this guy is a pampered
son of someone that’s pretty stupid, or he’s a good guy
getting a bad rap for helping out.

books – facts.. back in the 70s, school.
got sent to the principle,. because i told the
teacher (history) he was wrong… principle
told me it was wrong (the ptb didn’t want to
spend thousands to correct, when new book
was coming soon…) just teach it incorrect.!

Sadly, teachers are people too, with their own thoughts and ideas.
Whether they intended it or not, they would teach what they
believed was the right answers and HATED being called out on it.
Trust me Rob, I’ve been there too. Correcting a “minor detail” isn’t
a big deal for them, even if it did teach generations the wrong info.
Which I’m so picky about facts…
I’ve made a stink, got dragged into the office, and was told to drop
it or be suspended. All over the dumbest thing, my school book
said the earth wobbled like a top slowing down to explain how the
        axis tilt worked… Yeah…
Even had a drawing depicting it.
I think they were cheap reprints from 100 years ago.

Heh, that reminds me of a video I watched about real
hero’s that were turned into books and TV shows.
The lone ranger was based on a real man that was a
hell of a shot with a colt, and at one point actually
had an Indian guide. He did have a white horse but
            never used silver for ammo.

And his nephew was the Green Hornet. Right?
Sometimes it’s so hard to separate fact from fiction.
It’s commonly believed that the Lone Ranger was based
on a black Texas Ranger who always got his man,
              a guy name Bass Reeves.

Bass Reeves was black, but he was an Oklahoman US Marshall.
(“Indian Territory” at the time.) Born a slave in Arkansas. I have
heard the theory that The Lone Ranger was in part based on him.

Speaking the truth to power is always fraught with peril.
I had a couple of incidents myself both in college and
when I had stripes on my sleeves.
The results were not catastrophic, but they could’ve
been a lot worse than they were.
