There was a webcomic a while back, may still be running, about a D&D
game. At one point the party encounters Drow, and the DM and an
oldtime player start arguing over the pronunciation. Another player
explains to a newbie that some people pronounce it to rhyme with
Crow and others with Cow, and each are sure THEY are right. The
two arguing just keep repeating the word, louder and louder, with
no indication of which one is pronouncing it which way. I found it
very funny. I see the potential for something like that with Teresa
and Teresa.
Me? Talk to Woodman, he started it, I just second it! 😛
Besides, I love the look, and we get to meet her doppelganger.
I had hoped we’d meet her someday. I just hope her wings
can detach, it’d be hard to fake who is who otherwise.
I wouldn’t be surprised if her armor and wing-tips weren’t packed with sensors,
I hope the rest of the first ‘droids were able to get bodies they liked, those
x-toi bodies creeped me out. And the adult android bodies could handle the
heat better. I just thought about it, the ‘droids make the 10th race in the mixing
pot that is the Empire’s member list. I can’t wait to see them get a seat on the
core counsel! (The Buns were the 9th) No doubt they will need more numbers
and the sentient argument will be brought up.
I dunno, the other Council members could accuse Terra of padding their
seat count by creating artificial ‘races’. And how would you define an
AI race anyway? Are the androids and the shipbound AI two different
races? But since that has been broached, are the dragonflies a race
separate from the dragons? This has the potential of forcing a redefining
of how the Council itself is even defined and what is required to be
given a seat.
That’s true, but they could argue that since they were not human/terran,
and were to colonize a planet that would not be suitable for any of the races
to inhabit, it could be a point in their favor. My mind boggles at what that
planet would evolve into, hopefully not a “Borg” planet heh.
She’s in the reserve, she could be just storing it. Besides,
after the last attack, where would you want to store spare ammo?
In a warehouse, or in an unlikely place that no one would think of?
That’s true, I forgot that part. She’s always looked the part of
a dangerously subtle woman. “Always the quiet ones.” Anyway,
being in the reserve also give her an excuse to be armed to
the teeth without people wondering. Yes, I know,
but people do like to gossip.
just an observation, look who hangs out here.!
who wouldn’t want a “Back-up Armory”,, just
in case.. don’t have to go to base to equip…
or,,, off the book load out… 🙂
(Perry Mason theme starts playing) ah well Dum-can, I mean Duncan,
you’re done. Hold still the fork is still in your head, don’t want to
waste a perfectly good one now do we? Heheh. (YOINK! “OW!!”)
Told you to hold still. (Starts chanting “to the Legion” under his
breath) What? I didn’t say anything 😛
Is this Annie from http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-888/
or another ‘droid? Doesn’t matter, I was just curious.
I love the look and they did an amazing job on her face/hair.
I’d love to see the look on the guys faces when they see them.
Not Arron, of course, he had a hand in getting the Teresa
‘droid ready to use.
Yep, that’s her. She’s met Teresa before, just not in this body.
And anyone seeing them side-by-side would notice. Teresa’s
a little older than she was when the body was built.
I did get the impression of something was off, but to a would-be assassin,
they’d look identical. I wonder if those wings would deflect small arms fire?
That could be useful. And a shock to someone shooting at her in a crowd.
Heh, Maybe we might get so see someone tasting colors? Or only smelling
Axe body spray for the rest of their lives? Yuk!!
I think for anybody who does not work closely with Teresa the former Annie
will be an exact double. She is more than close enough. And she is closer
than the celebrity dopplegangers out there. I couldn’t see any difference.
That cellar would get to me big time! I am somewhat of a claustrophobe
and between it being under ground, the low door and the vaulted ceiling
I would be very uncomfortable. I worked in the basement at 5th Air Force
HQ at Yokota AB, Japan but it didn’t really bother me. That cellar would
be a place I’d want to get out of pretty quickly.
Yeah, it is pretty tight, more so with the extra bodies. Tight
spaces never bothered me, just the panic of falling, needles,
and large 4-legged animals. That’s what got me thinking pirate
hidey-hole or a “speak-easy” from the prohibition period.
Those were like that, small door, easy to hide behind a shelf
or a seeming old pile junk on wheels,
with a ladder tucked in a corner for escape.
President Elect Toxic Deplorable Racist SAH Neanderthal B Woodman Domestic Violent Extremist SuperStraight
Bear was good for that, and Jasmine has tried oh so many times.
anything to get the pets/rubs huh. She’s turning slowly into one
of those cats that meyowl and bite at the air from a base of the
tail scratch, and loves a vigorous front to back hard rub down.
Only thing that really bugs me is she bites my arm if I stop petting…
I was just starting a re-read (re-re-re-re-re-re-read) and I just noticed something,
(re-re-re-re-re-re-read 😛 )doesn’t that the President in: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-029/
remind you of the current one? A little bit? There’s no way PC could of planned it but…
PC, that “The Vitruvian Man” medallion I found is massive, 134mb!
It takes up 150 mms (6″ apx) on the print bed and it’s about 3/8″ thick.
TinkerCAD won’t load it (25mb limit), Fusion 360 froze up on me
when I tried there, and Hex don’t take .stl files. Maybe someone
else could swing it? or convert it to .obj.
You can’t downscale it? I printed one of those ubiquitous tugboats… 1/4″ long.
I lost it within minutes.
But if it’s 6″ by 3/8″, it’s probably not 3D enough for my use.
I’ve thrown out maybe 30 of those in the last 3 years,
They call them a “benchie” no clear idea why…
I have to be able to load it in a CAD program,
but I can downsize it in the slicer.
Maybe do it in 2 parts, I do have a roll of “Clear” PETG,
let me tinker a bit.
What’s the brand of resin printer you have again?
If I can get a slicer for it I might be able to set
you up with a printer file that it can use. I use Cura,
it might work if I know the model etc.
It has a crap-ton of printer profiles already included.
Any one feeling like target practice on a 1600lbs bull-headed bull?
We tried to isolate him today and despite the hotfence,
he wrecked a gate and made us chase him all over the yard.
Me limping the whole way! Grrrrrrrr…..
It’s an Anycubic Photon S.
I bought it to make miniature figurines of my characters,
but never figured out how. I really,
really wanted a Miral running figure on my desk!
190x120x100mm Right? Do you want it printed
standing or laying on it’s back?
If you have a pose of her I might be able to
make a file for you, I’d want one too! 😛
The 3D pose, otherwise it’d be a flat picture.
Bill might be a better choice than I,
he clearly has a far better grasp of Hex than I.
the 3dbenchy, is the worlds #1 downloaded “Benchmark” test print.
it has all ‘test’ parameters in one simple file. and,, because of the
simple design, it is simple to see flaws in the print…
edit: it’s called Benchy, because it is a ‘bench-mark’ print.
Oh sure, every time I try a new type of filament i run one, which is why
I have so many of them. but there’s many types of test prints, I use 4
of them often. With the ender, I had a huge issue of getting printed parts
to mesh right, until i ran across a simple X Y Z test that showed the Y
and Z axis were off, solved many problems. another tests any new
filament to set the perfect temp to run the heaters. The Ender runs PLA
best at 210C where the Sovol runs it best at 205c, not much, but the
ideal temp limits layer bonding failure. Nylon is the hardest to print,
almost as hard as PP (water/soda bottle plastic) as it warps like mad,
which causes print failure.
for the second terEsa. emphasis on the E not the R.
but only around in the know.
Actually, Teresa 1 is Teh-RAY-sah.
Copy is Ter-EE-sah to her friends.

fixed.
Scarsdale, Scarsdale, Scarsdale. Look what you started.
And the Grand Admiral leaves us hanging with that “However …”.

Surely Sgt Oaf isn’t stupid enough to grab the knife.
He’ll only get ventilated.
TWO Teresas just what the world needs.
O-M-G! Two Teresas! One dressed as an armored Hussar.
And the wings are SO appropriate. (as well as functional).
Panels 2-4. Especially 3.
Now what does Angel use High Explosives
for in the operation of the bar?
She’s in the reserve, she could be just storing it. Besides,

She’s also an assassin in reserve,
though she doesn’t get called much.
The occasional crooked politician…
She loves those.

sorry only had one cup today…
so far…
How they all manage to keep straight faces is beyond me.
Not really, all they need to do is remember what he did and why.
If it was me, me and the guys would leave him in an alley,
gasping. And bleeding.
Years ago i used to be on a 3D chatroom program called IMVU.
I have a set of armor that looks almost EXACTLY like that.
