Wow Missy, going for the full moxie? Making him panic
to the point of begging! (I’m still hoping for the Legion)
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes….
Ah, so she’s not being held hostage then? Interesting.
Maybe he’s learned now that others don’t need to be
Muslim to have the warrior spirit.
AW, I was getting used to her blonde-ness 😉
but I get it, she does look “off”.

who is eligible to sit on a court martial board.
Plus, the empire’s rules may be different.

There are only two genuine officers in the bar. The Grand Admiral
and Angel, who holds a commission as a Captain in the Naval Reserve.
In fact, with her past as an assassin, she was one of the instructors
of that Marine Pathfinder platoon that the four Marines were a part of.
Need I say that Duncan chose the worst possible bar to play his game in?
Angel’s Lair is the chosen watering hole for the Pathfinders.

Heh, so true, like the Blue Oyster bar from
the Police academy movies! This guy would
be dumb enough to try and pickup ladies
at a bar with several biker gang Harley’s
parked out front. I can picture him hitting
on a hot babe in leather and “Bear” a 6’8″
biker I knew, walking up behind him and growl!
(Sarcastic, whiny voice) “Aw ‘poor’ Duncan, there’s no JAG officer
for him to bail him out!” Good, he stepped in it and sank to his
hips on this “hunt”, now he’s going to see that it’s not marsh,
but quicksand!
in the real world, (now a days) this “Ad-hoc General Court martial”
for conspiracy to release ‘classified material’. would need 4
officers,. the judge, prosecutor, defense, and a non-partial witness
/ records keeper.. 3 if the jury / witnesses claim non-coercion an
non-bias…
also, IF a ‘declared’ war is on,. then this has no merit,
as this is a peace time ruling of 1916 / 1940…
I was just being sarcastic, it’s just more proof that he’s
NOT in the military to know the regs, and they are using
it to show him it’s a bad idea to claim the valor. He’s clearly
too old to join. Which is why I mentioned the Legion.
actually (Acting)Lt. Corsair could be a 3rd…
C.M. allow foreign officers and Cissy was an officer.!
AND at no time did she (Cissy) claim the title with
malicious intent or gain.! she asked her companions,.
and told the Admiral (when prudent).
30+ years ago our daughters streaked their long, very blond hair
with red and blue washable markers. Their mother and I were
‘meh, as long as it’s washable’. Their step-mother flipped out. In
her defense though, I’m not sure if they told her the markers
were washable colors or not.
That reminds me of my sons when they were in grade school,
The school decided to have a “crazy hair day” so I got 5 different
washable hair dyes for Halloween costumes and sprayed that
and added micro-ponytails all over their heads, they both took
first place in their classes, I couldn’t help but laugh.
I am not that much in duels. I have another concept of government
i want to describe here if you are interested.
The “deutsche Hanse” from app 1150 to 1650. It started as groups
of traders who traveled together for protection and legal support
in foreign places. It soon changed to pairs of old and young traders.
The old one stayed at home and the young one on travel. Soon the
traders of cities bonded together to get things done in foreign
places as well. It was only possible
because cities had special rights. Some only had to send soldiers in
case of a crusade, others had to send taxes to the Kaiser and send
soldiers in case of war. They ruled their cities autonomously and had
lower courts and often also high courts without interference from outside.
So these loose connections of traders had no constitution but they had a
connection network. They opened contors (trading stations) in London
(Stalhof), Brügge, Bergen, Nowgorod and many smaller places.
They became powerful with this network and even waged a
war with Denmark since the danish king tried to cut off trading routes.
Centuries later only they wrote an official document about their Hanse
organization and some member fees and such.
Centuries later Kings and dukes got control over those cities because
they became wealthy and powerful and also became a problem for
the power of the local nobility by having a super regional network.
Of course there is more complex background but i tried to
limit it to few lines. The Scandinavians were not so fond of the
Hanse by the way. The Hanse waging war without consulting the
Kaiser or a king was another problem of course. Pirates were
hired mostly by skandinavian nobles to rob the Hanse ships.
Klaus Störtebeker for example or the Likedeelers.
(the ones who share the loot equal)
Believe it or not I remember studying about the Hanseatic League in
High School world history. I don’t remember much about it but I did
recognize your reference to the “deutsche Hanse”.
I love how casual they are, like the 100+ men that tried to wipe
them out and take Teresa captive was just another exorcise for
the troops in training. It’s pretty sad when out of all those men,
only one merited saving. The rest were just bumbling fools. It
takes far more than a gun and “devotion” to take on highly
trained, battle-ready troops as the Imp-marines!

I am SO glad that I am not there at
Angel’s bar. I would be so ROFLOLMFAO
I would probably need to be hospitalized.
Would the court martial trial need an
officer? Or would a retired mid-level
NCO (SSG (Ret)) be acceptable? If
so, I volunteer.

OK, I just figured Duncan wouldn’t know any better. Just like he wouldn’t
know he has to have access to counsel and time to mount a defense.

I liked her as a blond. She seemed smarter LOL
At least she didn’t choose a pastel color.
