      I know.
He used his fist and not the knife.
The knife is still in his hand.
      Wants to hurt her maybe.

Yes – THE KNIFE IS STILL IN HIS HAND! Even if it is a
weak hit with the fist, it’s still a potential quick side
swipe with the blade to cut her throat. She may be
better as she said last episode, but he only has to
        get lucky once.

He can’t cut her like that, the edge is facing him, not her throat.
He’s still not learning to switch his grip. I’ve seen that more
than anything else, I blame movies for that error, people treat
a knife like a hatchet, or a sword. I’d be worried more if it
          was a double-edged stiletto rather than a k-bar/survival knife.

Uh, Scars? I zoomed in on frame eight.
He has an edge towards her neck.
Although it LOOKS like a Bowie knife,
it looks as though somebody sharpened
the whole back of the blade as well!
            Obviously somebody who DOESN’T know
how to knife fight with a Bowie!

That could be, it does have the same shine. I’m thinking
he has advanced combat training while Mala was trained
by Kathy. He might get lucky, but I wouldn’t bet on it. He
was working under the assumption that “It’s just a small,
frail woman” and wasn’t trying as hard as he should, but
I think he’s figuring it out. I’ll bet he’s getting tired, and
              Mala isn’t.

It kinda looks like she is hitting the artery in his arm
pit, that’ll numb his arm quickly if she does.

Mala is playing with him, he wants to beat her,
teach her to respect him, and THEN kill her, No,
I never got that way of thinking, either.

I think Imogen has helped as many people as
Teresa/Empire has, in different but similar ways.

Private interests do most of the heavy lifting in this sort of thing.
Pretty cheap advertising and building a future customer base.
Minka and Imogen just get mentioned more in the story.
(History shows that charitable giving goes up as taxes go down)
Companies that concentrate on quick profits may have an
advantage in the short term, but not in the long run.
And the Empire prefers not to be involved at all.

I should have said “companies like Imogen” yes, but I
was just saying that the Empire has freed or uplifted
whole worlds, while business has helped the people
help themselves, the way it should be in RL.

I see it now, Mala was jumping over his leg-sweep.
His punch is weak, or she would reacted more.
Even without the knuckle support of the knife handle
she should have had more of a reaction other than
“Good one”. Even if it was only a tiny ouch.

Well, DAMN! I figured the knife fight would end with today’s installment.
Now I’m seriously worried PC is going to pull a Tasha Yar with Mala. I
don’t think he has killed anybody (but badguys and red shirts) off so far.
Now we have to wait till Tuesday to see how it ends. I sincerely hope
Mala left similar instructions to what Sundance told Butch in his fight
    with Ted Cassidy’s character.

Teresa has saved her before, when she took a bullet to
the throat, I’m sure Mala learned a lesson from that as well.

Not too bad. I did notice some artifacts around the figures’ heads
occasionally. Also late in the video when the figures turn around
the original (red) color of the Trump figure’s jacket bleeds through.
Plus the Trump figure is way too svelte. But those guys for sure
      can dance!

        August 18, 2024, 13:30 | # | Reply

Yeah I noticed that too, Trump isn’t a small man,
so it’s hard to hide that mass inside the dancer.
Plus the Vest that Trump was wearing bleeds
through as well. I think it’s a clip from a movie,
        but I could be wrong.

I need to pick you folks brains. I have a problem that has never come up
before. I recently ordered a joystick from Amazon. According to Amazon
the item was delivered last evening. Problem is it wasn’t. During the day
it was listed as being “out for delivery” and due by 20:00. A bit after 20:00
I checked on Amazon and the site indicated that the package had been
delivered. When I checked on the front porch there was no package. Also,
when package is delivered an email is generated with a photo of the package
sitting on my porch. I checked last evening and no email. I also checked
this morning and still no email even though several had come in since yester-
day afternoon and even over night. Nothing from Amazon.

So what do I do? I paid good money for that thing. Not a lot, mind you but I
did pay for the thing. What do I do now? This has never happened before. I
have had a couple of ebay packages go missing in the mail (the USPS what
do you expect?) but never from Amazon. Also no email/photo. I there had
been an email and it had been misdelivered I might have been able to figure
out where it went. Any ideas, folks? Anybody know Amazon’s policy on stuff
    like this?

Unfortunately, if the Post Office says it was delivered,
that’s what Amazon will go with. No hope there.
The Post Office will make sympathetic noises,
but that’s about it. I had an oversized package last year
that was scanned into my local post office – a small,
rural building – and disappeared without a trace.
All I ever got was a “We searched the building,
it isn’t here. Sorry ’bout that.”
      I’m afraid you’re at a dead end.

Post Office delivery? Hadn’t thought of that.
I figured this was a regular Amazon delivery.
Guess I’ll make a little trip to the mailbox
        tomorrow. Thanks, Catman.

So I checked in our mailbox (we have them in clusters and
mine is around the corner from me) and the joystick was
there. Whew! If PC hadn’t brought up the Post Office it
would not have occurred to me.

That’s good to hear, I used to have a PO box, and I forget
how many times letters would “fall” in mine or out of mine.
          Careless postal workers I guess.

I’ve seen a lot of porch-pirate videos, and there are times
when the driver themselves drop a package, take the pic,
and then pick it back up and walk away. We have a door bell
cam because of this, my sister orders from Amazon all the
time. With all the bored kids living in that new subdivision
the worry has increased 10-fold. So we have security
cams everywhere on the property now. Look up the
Blink! security system on Amazon, it’s not that pricey.
They detect motion and automatically turn on and send
a notice to your cell phone.

      August 18, 2024, 13:48 | # | Reply

I’d still lodge a complaint with Amazon, They know
about the Porch-pirate issue and might replace the
item. Plus, there are times when a package has been
delivered to the wrong address, and that makes it
their fault. If there’s no picture of it being on the
porch or mailbox, then it falls to Amazon to make
      it right.

I don’t even have a mailbox, and USPS doesn’t deliver
to porches out here. So I use a PO Box. But that causes
problems. Sometimes I don’t know how the package is
being shipped, so I have to use both address like this:
        John Doe
        124 Marion Street
        Box 666
        Mumbles, GA 12345
Even then, my postmaster returned a package once
for “Insufficient address” with both addresses on it.
So now he hates me for complaining,
and takes every opportunity to harass me.

    This is sickening.
The California government all but spells it out.
There are so many child sex offenders in the state
that to prosecute them would be too big a drain on
    state finances:

As pointed out in an earlier page of TGW-072, p5-8, if the state
won’t do the job that the citizens ceded authority to it to do,
then it devolves back to the citizens to mete out justice.
The trick here is to not get caught. The state is jealous of its
power, especially a Marxist state, ever greedy for more power
over its citizens. Newsome is a vampire for power and control.
As for the groomers and pedos, they can be made to……disappear.
Just be careful to not get caught making them disappear.

Minka has started to realize that the life of a workaholic is a
bored, lonely one. She’s still young enough to take advantage
Mavia’s help and take some time off! I regret the opportunities
I missed with my kids because I just had to take that overtime
    or the promotion…
