My computer room AC puked it’s guts out,
and it got way too hot in here.
I had to wait until it cooled down after
midnight to finish the comic.
I’ve ordered a new one, it should(?) be here on Monday.
I’ll be working on the comic in the early mornings for a while.
Starting Monday’s page now. I really need to build up
a buffer again!
Good to know. I was a touch worried. I stuck my head in last
evening around 1930 and Wednesday’s strip was still up. I
understand about air conditioners. Our house is 27 years old
and we’re on our 3rd central air unit. Central air is very nearly
an absolute necessity here in South Texas.

I live in a Utah “high desert” (Salt Lake Valley),
so I use a swamp cooler. Had to do some major repairs
this past week, but it’s up and running just fine now.
And just in time. We went from pleasant 80s to upper 90s
in a heartbeat.
It’s too humid here for a swamp cooler to be ideal.
My current AC is a 5000 BTU window unit mounted
through the wall,
and it’s performance has been… marginal.
I can’t put a more powerful one in the opening.
So I bought a 12000 BTU portable.
That should keep the room cool!
Now I have to cut a hole in the wall for
the exhaust and condensate drain.
I have an oversized swamp cooler that, as you say,
doesn’t work as well as it could in a dryer climate,
but it does help in my very large garage here in
Central Texas.
Same here, sux that had to happen too. My father’s house has
central air, but our bedroom is the opposite end of the house
from the furnace, so we don’t get much cooling, so I had to buy
a window fan to draw the cooler air in and blow the warm air out.

Poor thing was in heat for the last 4 months since she
had that miscarriage. She has became super-friendly
since she got home, I don’t know if it’s because of the
neutering or she’s just glad to be home! Hasn’t clawed
my leg once since I brought her home…

of cats that are suddenly dumped, abandoned, or just put outside
to fend for themselves, is at about the age of puberty, around
six months. Statisticians and researchers say that if an city or
county has a free neutering clinic, they can save much more than
the cost of the clinic with the reduced necessity of a city-run
shelter, and it also greatly reduces the number of animals who
end up being euthanized.
Interesting, someone has a micro-burst transmitter? Unless
it’s on one of Teresa’s Only, that’s really suspicious. I doubt
Teresa has been switched out for a double or an android,
her Only would notice the differences, plus Taritha would smell
and hear the changes. There’s no way an android could handle
an obstacle course, they don’t have that much dexterity.

Data’s creator his entire life, plus work done on the
cybernetics that lead up to a true android was started
3-4 generations of Soong’s before B4 was created.
I doubt there’s been enough time to make a human-
like android good enough to fool the observant.
You know Asimov invented the concept of the self-aware android.
There was even a fairly recent series of books about the original
development and the rise of Susan Calvin, the “robot psychologist”
that Asimov invented. And Data is said to have had a “positronic
brain,” another of Asimov’s inventions. That series of three books
is by Mickey Zucker Reichert, and is pretty interesting. It would,
of course, be a mistake to try to meld the time line in Azimov’s
book with The Gentle Wolf’s, but it should be noted US Robots
and Mechanical Men was founded in 1982.

the shower? And what if Her Own and Taritha were aware of it.

another sexta or two there in hiding, since the original ones

Whew. I beat the heat, today’s page is up. My new A/C should
be here soon. Then I have to install the hoses and let it sit
upright for twelve hours to let the oil settle before I can
turn it on. Well, maybe tomorrow I’ll be cool.

20 amp service to it right now and there’s no way
I could run an AC and the equipment on that..
10 AWG x 3 wire isn’t cheap!

When i moved into this place, I was lucky.
The breaker box had empty slots for circuit breakers,
so I added three 20 amp. One for my computer room,
one for my metal shop (Used to be a bathroom),
and one for my outdoor shed.
Do you have any empty slots in your breaker box
where you can add a 20-amp breaker or two?

in panels along two walls,
