I guess that is the biggest downside of spur-of-the-moment ops,
the lack of preparations. If they had planned it from the beginning,
the needed items would have been waiting. Ah well, nobody’s prefect.
And I’m sure the people will love the things they are bringing,
it will be greatly appreciated. Plus it should help with the
nay-sayers when the diplo’s show up later.
That Buns planet seems like it would be a prime target,
as far as the core knows, it’s still a weak, backward
planet that’s inhabited by “primitives” making it
“easy pickin’s”.
And using it as a “test” run for their new FTL ships.
Damn. Panel 7, second word balloon should be “gave”, not “gives”.
A destroyer squadron is 1 destroyer and 3 frigates, so:
3 destroyers = 24 Tobies.
9 frigates = 54 Tobies.
1 carrier = 80 Daggers.
Just give the Bunnies and the other species’ trainees that
came with the new ships time…
And that will give us a battle that brings back memories of
“The Return of the Jedi” vibes! Where we get one of the Bats
screaming “FIRE EVERYTHING!!!” then the screen cuts to a
miniature exploding…
They haven’t had the time and resources to rebuild too many FTL ships,
so they can’t use too many capital ships… Maybe as guards on the WH
while the regular ships pass through. Yes, yes, PC we know, “meow.”
😛
in a real world situation,,. 3 to 5 ships, including the 1 FTL..
because.. no supplies, crews or “Fuel”.. .. but .. not my comic.!
that sed.. i’m guessing..
about 10 ships.. 3 of them FTL,. 1 true FTL, the others are the
lead up designs. an 5 of the “not” ships are the
“Heavy War Wagons”. tho,, ( no one knows ) most of the crew
are pulled out of retirement, have very limited fuel,. and enough
ammo to get one full salvo each…
I think the Buns are gonna enjoy beating the snot outta
those core ships, maybe then they will understand (I doubt it)
that they aren’t the big dogs they thought.
Like any other bully, they have to be beaten within an inch
of their lives before the stark reality sets in. Or they just
wait for the chance to try again. I could tell stories about that…

RE panel 7 – I think it works either way.
Now the question is, how big a fleet will the enemies muster?
