Interesting approach to androids. Usually they’re made stronger and faster than
humans. I know there are various technologies developed right now and some of them
are just like that in the comic.
Yet it is a novelty in a fictional setting 🙂
Thank you. I try to be, within the limits of fiction, as rational as possible.
With androids, not only do you have to fit into a humaniform body a
multitude of power and support systems (Cooling alone takes up a lot of
space), you need a staggering amount of servos and pumps to move the
joints in a natural human manner.
I doubt if you could pack much power into those systems before you just
ran out of space for everything. Not only would the pumps themselves
have to be larger (creating more heat), but the hydraulic lines would
also have to be larger and stronger to handle the pressures.
The same with any servos. Larger, more powerful, and more waste heat.
Besides, I didn’t want the Androids to be too perfect!
They may not be good at Fourball, but they are unbeatable at chess.
Androids like Data are a result of decades of tinkering by a genius, who
knows how many times he tried and failed to re-create human motion. The
stepper motors they are working with now are still pretty jerky, but like the
one’s on my new printer right now have an accuracy of 0.008 (I had to look
it up) mm and are strong enough to break a finger if you’re careless.
Something Scarsdale wrote yesterday got me to thinking. He wrote something about
a gravity field having the potential to disrupt/destabilize a wormhole which would be
catastrophic if it happened in transit. But what about if you planted a really powerful
grav emitter right at the terminus of a wormhole? Might that not disrupt the wormhole?
If so perhaps it could keep the wormhole from forming thereby effectively disabling
or in effect “plugging” the wormhole. Position such a “cork” at the terminus through
which the opfor would have to come and you preclude them from being reinforced.
Force the enemy to fight with only what forces they had at the time hostilities
commenced. If you had forces positioned at the opposite terminus of a different
wormhole then you could control the force balance. What do you think?
If wormholes are formed from a combination of gravitational forces it would make
sense that another force could disrupt and even close the wormhole. Which could
be bad because that would cut you off from the worlds you’re trying to help.
But ringing the wormhole with grav emitters would make it a bad idea to try and
enter the other end, you’d be trapped in that pocket universe, unable to do anything.
I seen the launch was a “successful failure”, I think that term NASA
used many, many times over the years. The moment I seen the flip-over
didn’t stop and separation didn’t happen, they were going to scrub it.
I think that ass was thinking it’s what they were going to do
which would give him a chance to survive. Pee Wee is making
it clear there is no need to bother anyone with that mess.
I doubt anyone in that room will stop him either!
..I personally think Teresa gave it to the military,,
cuz she (Kiedra) was in.. an the JAG had brief trial.
and Samuel gets to ‘execute’ it. with the stipulation ,
no vengeance or torture.!

Note to space buffs: today SpaceX is scheduled to make their 2nd
attempt to launch Starship/super-heavy from Boca Chica. According
to sources online, the launch window is scheduled to open at 0830 CDT.
Here is a site with multiple live cams of Spaceport Texas:

PC or Rob, could somebody fix this? I figure content mod
tripped because I included 2 links. They’re legit.

>there’s been enough suffering
yep, no need to make a fuss and giving him more space in peoples heads.

Makes it simple and removes a big problem for all.
More like she gave it to the Waukandans.
“It’s your party, you pick the music.”
Heh, soon as I read that, the song title came to mind:
“Pop Goes The EVIL”.
I posted last night and forgot the “robit’ ban so yeah…
The Prez realises the fits hit the shan.
I agree with Chryzopraz excellent
interpretation of androids.
As usual you are doing great.
