Oh yeah…
Mr. CSA President is going to be ended rather messily, I do believe.
I suspect that the wormhole sleds are so stripped down of whatever
shielding needed to protect the organic biologies, that only advanced
electromechanical Entities, can survive the transition…
Come to think of it, Lt. Jacobs metallic skin COULD be an indicator
of a sort of Faraday cage skin, meant to ground out the quantum
electrical surges such a Wormhole transition would likely cause.
As PC explained in: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-194/
The pocket universe(?) that you enter while using the portals
expands matter to the size of that universe, then when you
exit the portal matter returns to normal in our universe.
The speed of the transition if too fast will result in the
flesh to not fully returned to normal, like looking over and
see both Ben and Jerry as a multi-limbed blob that’s become
part of the decking. Yuk… mechanical and electrical items
re-combine easier and faster with far less side-effects because
they are simpler and with a sharper difference between parts,
while living matter is all soft and squishy and packed close
together making it harder to reconstitute in the right order.
Oh that asshole “president”, If I could, he wouldn’t be shot on sight,
Pee Wee and I would either take turns or we’d bounce his worthless
ass back and forth between us! Shooting isn’t good enough, he HAS
to suffer like she did. Leaning on her head like a piece of furniture…
(Censored due to explicit content…) Just let Pee Wee take him outback
and beat him like an old rug that hasn’t been cleaned in a few years…
It makes sense that an android would survive hard transitions, like
Emsay said to Roxxy, it’s like being turned off and on very little lag
and no other effects that other beings have. These new ships and
their AI crew will make recon much faster and safer for any fleet
about to enter a possibly hostile system.
Why build AIs into humaniform bodies? It makes more sense (to me,
at least) to just connect them directly to the vehicles.
If mobility is needed a mobile casing could be fabricated.
I’m confused. I thought the CSA prez was in the bunker.
Here he seems to be on the top floor of a high rise. ???
Because, as legitimate and legal “People”, they must be able to function
in a world which is geared for humaniform bodies.
After all, they wish to socialize and hold the same jobs as the meatsacks do.
Not all wish to be heavy equipment operators, but those that do will find
that some equipment is already being built to allow them to be removed
from their humaniform bodies and placed inside for direct control. It saves
space and allows them to perform in hazardous environments that would
demand very expensive and bulky equipment for biologics to operate in.
Notice, for example, how small the ship that Lieutenant Jacobs will
operate is. No life support, sleeping quarters, galley or other bio support.
And their reaction times are not throttled down by having to go through
a humaniform interface. After all, it is easier to go from thought to action
that to go through thought-nerve transmission-muscle movement-control
movement-action.
I should add that they must, over time, reimburse the Empire for the costs
of their “birth”. Just like paying off a student loan, but at a very low interest
rate.
I agree, it’d be hard for Esmay to go the the PX to pick up some lubricant.
And many people would be creeped out if the ship they are walking by
started to open a conversation like any other person. Mostly because the
ability to control any equipment that Terran or Catain can and doesn’t need
oxygen, the need to use the head, or eat. Just a socket to recharge at.
I don’t understand his reasoning either, but he decided to stay in his office
during the attack. Some people are hard to figure out.
Or, as in panel six, he may be hoping that the Waukandans will be satisfied
with killing him, and leave the denizens in the bunker alone.
I don’t believe that anyone is 100% evil, although some come very close.
It might be a combination of, the safest spot would be by the head and
he came to believe Capt. Mike. Either way his arrogance has lead to the
loss of everything he’s built up and such, it’s just as likely they restrain
Pee Wee from killing him to let the survivors deal with the mighty
assholeness.
bunker.. during the cold war the US built a unknown number of bunkers
(at least 50 , 1 per state.) but.. when the ‘moneybags’ found out,
they were quick to tell everyone.. (so they could move in, in a crisis.)
“” now this is all hear say “” .
. but during 911, Greenbriar was over half capacity, by the rich…
It also makes them more relatable for humans, which is a major point
if they are new. We have seen the problems Data had, especially as
temporary Captain of another ship. Consider how people would react
to a non-humanoid AI.
Besides, they could set up up that so that an AI can take control of
a machine or vehicle with a simple plug-in in a finger.
And while they are probably build very sturdy, they have protective
gear for humanoids already on hand if extra protection is needed.

I know that tit-for-tat won’t bring back the dead,
but it would be SO satisfying to saw (slowly) the head off of El Presidente
and place it on the stand currently occupied by the Catian pilot’s head.
El Presidente can be defiant all he wants with his head on a trophy stand.
Prez gets a point for telling Dave to stand down. But then
reminds us what an arrogant bastard by choosing to lean on
the “trophy” stand, as if he wants to antagonize someone
into giving him a quick death.
My thought too, that’s why I suggested to let Pee Wee take
him out back of the building and beat him like they did Kiedra.
Keep at it until he begs for death like I’m sure she did too.
It’d be nice if they found that the head on the stand was fake, and she’s
being held in a veterinary clinic while her wounds heal. These people WERE
American citizens at one time, and I figure there should STILL be a few who
are decent people.
Besides, making a fake Catian head wouldn’t be as hard as it might seem.
Considering how realistic I’ve seen some fake animatronic bodies look,
making a fake Catian head would take less than a week, especially if they
have the living thing to model it on.
From a purely intelligence angle, killing her would have been a waste, as
she probably would have a huge amount of info on the Empire that would
be useful. Plus, if nothing else, they’d be sure to want to study her. And
A live specimen is WAY more valuable than a corpse.
But, if PC says she’s dead, she’s dead. I just figure the Intel the Empire got
could very easily be false, to act as political propaganda, and to give the
CSA some time to study her, rather than have to fight the Empire on a
Rescue Mission. I just always figured, never underestimate the intelligence
of one’s adversary. It’s better to overestimate an adversaries intellect and
capabilities, than to underestimate them. Just ask the Russians about that.
If she was still alive, that would mean they killed another short, white/black
Catain and that would still require the actions the Empire is taking. I doubt they
would have the sense to try and pull something like that off, plus someone
would have reported someone missing by now.
The cow fence guy? Ours is 10,000 volts, strong enough to jump a

rate and pulse while kneeling on the ground grunting…. ow…
I thought about that, but that would mean he’s smarter than he
acts, meaning that he’s cruel just because he can. Not much of
a saving point. His mistake was thinking just because The Empire
didn’t tear through his kingdom killing any and everyone while
he stayed safe meant they were weak. To him it meant he could
do anything he wanted and never face reprisals. Ah no Mr.
President, it’s not the Sugar Plum Fairy at the door,
it’s Karma, and she is PISSED.

I wish I could have her survive, but the CSA soldiers left her body out
for the Waukenden soldiers to find. Kind of hard to fake that.

Good choice Mr. President.
That may just make them angry enough to kill you quickly.
