Good thing Melissa is talking to the Captain the Major would probably say something “yeah right” or “do you think I’m stupid enough to believe you” The eyes in the sky could wipe them out before they could grab their guns.

I suspect that if the major doesn’t change his attitude, he may be in for a fragging…

It does look like the good guys are trying to set one up, doesn’t it? I still think they shoulda dropped that rocket with a note attached like I suggested.

I don’t figure the Major to be the only “hardliner” in the outfit. They’ll have to either boot all slaver troops out of the system en masse or vet any they allow to stay under the closest thing to truth serum they have. Somehow I figure the slaver head shed is gonna be any too happy about Catia (and Cats) being freed. IMS, the whole purpose for that Rat Bastard, Lincoln (i.e. the prototype RINO) issuing that utterly bogus, powerless and unconstitutional “Emancipation Proclamation” (which didn’t even affect slave-holding states that didn’t secede) was to piss of the Confederacy and attempt to stir up rebellion among the slaves. When word leaks out to Cats on other worlds in the slaver empire (BTW, what is the formal term for the multi starsystem organization I have to keep referring to as “the slavers” anyhow?) as it inevitably will, there is likely to arise a 5th column as a minimum. I don’t wanna think what all is likely to wind up in the soup, coffee or other comestibles prepared by Cat cooks on other worlds. Reckon the slavers have a saying comparable to “Don’t piss off the cook. He might piss in your soup”.

Just call the slavers Human. The Cats do.
I’m afraid I can’t comment further about separating good from bad.
And there’s always the story from TGW-254 to 263.

OK so “Humans” replaces “Slavers” and when I refer to King or other folks from good old Terra, I’m gonna call ’em “Terrans”. Humans = homo saps NOT from Terra while Terrans = Homo Saps FROM Terra. Worksfor me.

Problem with that approach is the fact that it is HER air filter, too.

The Dragonflies take after the Lir. Lir are Not diplomats… though once in a while they do grit their mouth full of incisors and spend a few minutes at it.

Started reading the background stuff on Miral’s live TV appearance and just kept going. Into “The Pick and the Pussycat” now. Damn Chirk was tiny there. About how old (Cattian years or Terran years) as Chirk, then? I had forgotten just how tiny she was. That last panel of 270 shows it perfectly.

The Cats’ feelings about making ‘pets’ of the dragonflies are perfectly understandable, considering their own history. But it makes me think — the Hippies mentioned keeping chickens and obviously swine and bovines are kept as food animals, but I don’t recall ever seeing domesticated animals on screen other than cats — and cats are notorious for how domesticated they really aren’t. Unless you count the vote incentive a while back with the pixyish waif and her big canine protector. Hmmm.
And yes it does look like the Imperials are trying to divide and conquer, or to keep the captain and NCOs under control as Miral eviscerates their CO — not easy to do with nails instead of claws. But I suspect she’s up for the challenge. “Why a spoon?”
