That would be funny/great to see! Wolf Empress Teresa as a serving wench.
But it would have to be done undercover…..and only once. Security would
be a bitch the first time. After that, security would be an irritated
mama bear with cubs, on steroids.
“…..trading as it goes.”
The trading circle route. Not just A to B and back to A.
Nope. A to B to C to D to E (etc.) and eventually back to A.
Could be gone a long time. In the days of wooden ships and sails, some
of those trading ventures took years before the ship returned to home
port. And the original investors wouldn’t know if their finances were
boom or bust (storms, shipwrecks, pirates).
I would imagine the same here. What is that French expression about,
“the more things change, the more they remain the same.”
The trick would be figuring out what to stock first and how much.
Once that’s figured out it would be a matter of a route you know
well enough to be prepared to cover each stop’s needs a bit tricky
and it’s not like they can say “Oh sorry we forgot I’ll nip back
and grab that”
Or load as much as you can that you know will sell at your
final destination, and buy and sell what you can along the way.
You can take notes on what will be wanted/available to buy
to better plan your next trips.
Huh. One pair of twins and not two. You got me. I rather hope the
“ladies in waiting” DON’T get added to Elise and Ellen’s tag lists, that
would be a spoiler for new readers going through the first time.
Identical twins as bodyguards… that’ll distract any would-be assassin lol
I love how just as I’ve got the characters figured out there’s always
someone new thrown in it’s more realistic in a scenario like this the
Empress would have a massive number of people come and go so her security
would be quite large and rotating in order to keep an enemy guessing.
I just want to know… How the neck do the twins stuff that much hair
up under those wigs, and NOT look like they’ve got huge heads, with
those short hair wigs???
Good plan! The crew that they send will get experience with trade as
they go… Also, a good way to “shop” the markets to determine what
the planet’s people want, versus what they have to offer in trade…
In the early cases, barter will probably be the way to go, until
the new currency, (the Dragon) is established…

Would be? I think they’ve there already LOL
Teresa isn’t the type to hide away, that would
drive anyone half crazy!

Now let’s see who else figures it out.

oh wow, is all of her staff LARP’ers?
One suspects that royal fashion may become a mix of Modern and Renaissance clothing…

The same way they hide an arsenal of weapons under normal clothing.
OOOOOO (Me rolling on the floor laughing.)
Ah yes, anime pocket universe storage! I might have known…
It’s kind of a running joke.

But no giant anime swords. The Guard is pro, not show.
Thankfully!
