I like Vince’s bomber jacket. Got one of those myself except in black. Very comfortable and very warm. Living in San Antonio as I do I seldom get to wear it. We really only have 2 seasons here; summer and fall/spring. Most years we skip winter all together. When I was in college I used to bring my girlfriend a fresh picked (with permission) rose from my next-door neighbor’s garden when we came back from winter/between semesters break. So far we have not even had a hard freeze. You folks are welcome to live where it gets cold. For my money the best way to view snow is in a painting. 2nd best is a photograph – preferably an old one – or satellite feed on television. Worst place to see snow is through the windshield of an automobile – cause that means I’m driving in it. I got no special problem driving in ice/snow, mind you, just hate to do it cause of the nitwits on the road with me. Seems none of ’em ever figured out the simple rule for driving in inclement weather, “Don’t do anything quick.”
When I was 16 I bought my first motorcycle and rode it year round. In Missouri. I even made a set of chains for it.
I could stop and go just fine, but had to walk it around corners. Didn’t own a car until the Army sent me to Germany.
Although I did drive my wife’s little Spitfire once in a while.
built my first bike at 13 (from nephew’s racing bikes..) , didn’t start riding till 14 (bout 4 months , was to small..), got license at 16, never rode it to school ( once , big mistake. jocks broke it , got in fight, got expelled, school not responsible.) ,, rode bike alot year round in denver..
had a bomber jacket for a while,, then got riding leathers,,, never looked back..

Absolutely Love Ravien’s Dress – very much reminds my of my “Pentecost” design Stole I was given for Ordination in ’77. (No -no “lumps). Still have it.
It was around ’69 -’70 when I was going to buy a new Honda 350. My (now) ex had an explosive hissy fit.
(I would have done better getting the bike . . . . .)
I did my first Harley Davidson funeral (’01) for my (now) wife’s nephew; ~ 100 riders on ~ 60+ bikes.
It was ~ 30 miles to the WI country cemetery – folks came out to take pictures.
He was hit head-on by an oncoming bike and a not-ready rider. Nope – I still have no bike . . . sigh.
I have worn out 3 bomber jackets – on #4 now.
Just be careful out there.
