It’s nice to see the tied one’s compassion for her ‘friend’. Her mouth got her in trouble the first time and she hasn’t learned anything yet. Ginny is tougher than she ever will be. Does Mala get a free sword? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thought so. Thank-you. Ginny is the tough one and I don’t hold much sense of their relationship lasting.

Normally “El Dio de los Muertos” (the Day of the Dead) would be celebrated tomorrow but Democrats will be observing it this coming Tuesday. “By hook or by crook.” It’s not just a saying, for Democrats it’s a WAY OF LIFE!

Ah, yes… The once every four years, resurrection of dead democrat voters…

I was admiring how well PC rendered that buttstock bruise, then I started. I don’t believe I never noticed Max’s eyes before. But I went back, and they’ve been that way since the beginning. And apparently nobody else noticed (or mentioned) it either. Mocha-colored whites, white irises, slitted pupils. Of course, there is the ill-advised practice of “tattooing” the whites, and Max COULD be wearing colored contacts over her irises, but I’m beginning to wonder…
Now THIS is Yunii’s real test of Rendel. How will he weigh his budding friendship and probable infatuation against his responsibility to his existing loyalties. (Has he been adopted into a Clan? We know it is possible for humans.) If he knows the culture of the Empire he should know that Mala will NOT want the blade to be priced cheaply.

Hmm. Blade is edge down. Miral just gave Max the ability to cut -herself- free, if she carefully stands and works her way around the tree until her bonds are just below the knife, and doesn’t pull the knife out of the tree by pulling more than sawing. I wonder how intentional that was. Or if Max is smart enough to realize it.
