Been thinking on this one as I walked this morning. So far, VERY lucky with this war. But there’s Got to be Hell coming somewhere. *blink* Oh, Not the Earth….
I haven’t shown much of the fighting, have I?
The Cats are having their last major battle now, Spike and most of the pilots are involved. http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-574/
The Navy will be going through the wormhole soon to recover slaves and return them home.
And there’s Stage Three: http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-555/
Random Thought. After reading Gary’s comment I began to wonder about the detection of a cloaked ship in TGW-161, this does not match up with the descriptions other ships of the Slavers mentioned so far. Is there someone else lying in wait?
And now you have Me curious, so I went back to look at that. I figure to go back and check the next few pages, see if Anything else was mentioned. So…. MAYBE another race? Not Kajm’s people though, you would Never be able to see them coming, and the tech was pretty primitive 😛
If the Dragon Empire and the Catians decide to attack Lamia, be prepared to see some of our favorite people not make it. Right now, blockading the Northern Wormhole is good but doesn’t rescue the slaves on the other side. With some of the Humans in both their Navy and Army not liking slavery, I wonder what percentage of the Lamia civilians are willing to release the Catian slaves? And Pertercat, thanks for the reset.
I’ll try not to be such a stranger this time. Since I found The Gentle Wolf, I have read through the entirety six times since I first commented in 2018 I think.
I will do so.
In the meantime, Gary back on TGW-385 told me Kajm was looking for a sparring partner.
I missed it back then, but saw it again on my last run through.
If Kajm is still interested, let him know that I am open to it.
And he better clear it with Thunderwing as I have no interest in causing grief in their relationship.
Gary used to have Kajm invite a lot of other people’s characters to fight. I read a few, and it seemed pretty universal that they would have their characters win.
That’s why I had Kathy lose to him, for a change of pace.
Plus, it let me write Kajm as a deeper character than most others wrote him.
I enjoy building out characters, as I’ve done with so many of mine, and in fact, with Miral in this story line. I hope it makes this comic more interesting, and me a better writer.
I’ve read the stories I could find and believe that at best it would be a draw.
But most likely I would lose as I am not a warrior type but an Assassin Sorcerer.
And if I’m sparring, neither of those skill sets will be used to help me win. Survive, yes; win no.
Please pass the word and my contact information. I am looking forward this.
I’m sorry, but comparing Dragonfly’s to Elves is like calling
a VW van a bus, BIG difference! Or like my grandmother calling
my Supersport a “bicycle”. Had to love Gram, she didn’t have
the brains to change a light bulb, but DAAAAAMN could she cook!

That was Kataar’s ship.
TGW-177 to TGW-183

No problem, it’s DAMNED good to see you here again!
Don’t forget, the Catians own the entire Lamian space Navy… And Lamia doesn’t know it… yet.
I didn’t realize they owned it all. I thought only those that came through the wormhole recently.
Yep. That was all of it. With the exception of a few things that I’m saving for later in the story.

Well, if you can suggest any changes, no matter how minor, to improve it, please let me know!
I may not implement them, but I will pay attention!

I sent him a note on DeviantArt.
He should be here later.
If you’re on DA, post a link in a comment, please.

nee how.. 🙂
an yes he does pay attention ..
Nice “Battle Scene” on the vote incentive!
..? “Battle.” ..?
Petercat, do I remember correctly a certain dragon mentioning another race, specifically, of elves?
I don’t think so, I think it was a reader suggesting a story line.
The closest I come to elves are the dragonflies.
