Steven has the right idea,, move away..
never seen a cat so happy with her new toy,, an i have cats.!!
now i see why he / they had so many demerits, extra duty, an stuff,, there was ladies present.! an someone had to pay.. (the hair, makeup, dresses, an embarrassment.!) oh liked Lady Windom’s face art…
Steven has cleared out. Poor Gilbert has to leave now anyway to change his shorts. The owner/bouncer in the background is ready as well. The Col.’s men are at least gentlemen putting their bodies between the grenade and the girls. Fear gives strength as well. Everyone right over the top rail.
Anybody who WASN’T scared by the big black-on-black fellow (sorry, his name escapes me) under those circumstances hasn’t the wit to be afraid. First off there’s the corollary to the “the bigger they are; the harder they fall” rule which goes, “The bigger they are the harder it is to MAKE them fall.” (all that cat’s added body mass means he can absorb more punishment) Second off he looks to have the musculature to twist little Gilbert into a pretzle – laughing all the while!
In his album “Reality! What A Concept!” the immortal Robin Williams had a line which went, “Assholes do VEX me!”. That line perfectly describes everyone’s reaction to Gilbert. I figure our boy Gilbert has a permanent place on Dan’s “Entry not allowed” list.
Pickup line used (always unsuccessfully) by guys like Gilbert, “What’s new, Pussycat?”
Negron.. an look close,, he has spots… (panel 1, on his hand.)
big one,, worry, yes ,, afraid , no… worst they will kill me in one hit… it’s the little one’s that i’m afraid of,,, they KNOW they can’t kill you in one hit,, so they pick you apart (painfully), harass you, an pester you.. i should know,, i’m a little one.. (was 5 foot an 97 lbs, when i went in military,, now am 5′ 2″ an 110lbs..)
I had a brand-new shiny Lieutenant explain something to me once when I was young and dumb that I’ve never forgotten:
“Courage isn’t a lack of fear, it’s the ability to do what must be done no matter how terrified you are.
There are only two types of people who are never afraid, the psychopath and the one who is too stupid to recognize when they are in danger.
And psychopaths are pretty rare.”
He was one of the good Hudson High grads.
I remember him whenever I see a “No Fear” bumper sticker, and laugh.
hence the “worry”,, i know im in danger,, but if he hits, im done.. where as the little, is like a sniper shooting the team mate over an over to draw you out…. an you know it.!!!

That’s the owner, his name is Dan.
He and I both are really enjoying how Gilbert is getting played.
Why is he cracking his knuckles? Not like he’s going to get a chance…
probably unconscious body language showing that he backs the cats.

Our young officer learned the consequences of speaking the truth to power – ALONG WITH the rewards!
Oh, you haven’t seen his reward yet!
