last panel – are those Nav Lights on the external pods – if so the lights are reversed.
Perhaps space craft do not do as aircraft.
Then again they may be rangefinder lasers . . . .
What, Grady doesn’t trust someone she’s never met but has heard described as a “hippy” to back her trailer as safely and efficiently as she can? Who’d have thought it?
“While we can still talk” implies none of the stupid Star Wars open hatches with somehow normal atmospheric pressure. Also that they knew the air would be pumped out and the hatches opened whether they hit the saferoom or not.
Jochi, in SW (and ST and other SciFi films/books, whatever) atmosphere in the bay is retained via some sort of force field which is impermeable to gas molecules but somehow remains permeable to large, muti-ton, slow moving solid masses. It’s obvious that, while a good deal technologically advanced over Terrans, the Slavers aren’t THAT advanced and do not seem to have developed/mastered force fields. Absent force fields to retain atmo any bay like that would HAVE to be pumped down; otherwise the vessel would lose a shitload of atmo gasses every time the bay door(s) opened. At need I would expect that replacement water and atmo consumables could be found in a system’s oort cloud (assuming every star system has one).
Mr Cat, I’m reading a little yarn about a college senior who incorrectly repaired a multi-meter and and stumbled onto a way to produce both positive (attractive) and negative (repulsive) gravity. I haven’t finished it yet but the poor kid has 3 different groups searching for him to kill him. It has a lot of the similar flavor of your story except it takes place in our world (or one very much like it). The first thing he made with his discovery was a “skate” board like Michael J Fox rode in Back to the Future III. But like your grav technology, it can also serve as an energy source. Additionally, it is EXTREMELY compact (control/excitation circuitry fits easily into a cigar box and the grav plates can consist of aluminum foil glued to plywood. It could mean the end of not only the petroleum industry, but transportation and electric power industries as well. Theoretically, every individual device could have its own inexhaustible power source.
I thought about that, but decided to keep it simple. The activating unit is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, about a thousand layers of micro circuitry with several small charges and sensors built in. If anyone tries to analyze one, it slags itself with extreme vigor. There are also many layers of false circuitry and other security features built in.
ah that explains why i could not up date… 🙂
are we there yet.?? hehe,, from the adult…
pilot.?? i’m more worried as to what is on the wings.!!!

Designed by engineers. What can I say? But they move in 3D, so added lights, blue for rear and yellow front.
I was feeling a little country.
(Insert dirty joke here)
With those two it is going to be a Bumpy ride……
Hard on the suspension.
but but,, my suspension is meant too hug every curve..!!
How does it do in the mountains?
Y’know, non-voters have no idea what we’re talking about.
like the song said: Sam Hunt – Body Like A Back Road..
Taking the scenic route, huh?
as long as it takes,, to get “There” at the same time…
Huh. A copycat:

Not really, just serendipity. Scroll down for the comment I left (Cat-Man-Dancing)
as i sed with a 3d game,, with only so many base models ,, some cross over is bound to happen….
That’s a WHOLE LOT of country!
Beautiful country!

“I don’t care how shiny the force field is, never take off your helmet until the hatches are sealed!”
