You may be right, Gary, which would alter the story behind the story I’d been assuming. I can’t see the dragons engineering that confluence of culture the way we’ve been assuming they did the evolution of the English language. So, a Greater Power behind THEM might be the One really pulling the strings. Interesting. Doubt we’ll ever know for sure, but we may reach a point that Occam’s Razor points there.
