OK, I just figured out the piggy-back gambit. Sometimes I’m slow but I get there soon or late. That name “Garion” seems familiar. For some reason I associate it with a bell. Guess it’ll come to be later. 😉
The only ranged weapons we’ve seen the cats to possess are bows. If the slavers’ trucks are only armored against a bow then those AK variants will cut through the Slavers’ armor like an arrow through tissue paper. Hell! If the cats had heavy crossbows those would go through light steel easily. Certainly take the tires out on their transport. Lets see. A road, a large tree (branches and all) some assembly required. Shoot out the tires and if they won’t come out build a fire under ’em. Wonder if any of the local wildlife would eat roast slaver.
You mean the voice actor for video game characters?
Didn’t he do a character for Bendy and the Ink Machine?
Why are you a fan of his? Is his voice that nice?
David Eddings has written a slew of fantasy novels, one series of which was the Belgariad, I believe.
I’ve read a few of his novels and have a bunch more in my “to read” shelves.
(I must admit I didn’t get the wordplay in his first comment until he mentioned Eddings down here…then I thought, ‘wait a minute! Oh!’)
If they are actual trucks, then a tiger trap would do the job. If they have tracks it might be tougher.
As Alpine Bob has said, the only David Eddings of whom I was aware is the Fantasy author. Two series of his I’ve read were “The Belgariad” and “The Malloreon”. The titular character and protagonist in the “Belgariad” was named “Garion”. He also figured big in the Malloreon”. {sigh} guess I’m the only one here who is sometimes into heroic fantasy. Wonder if the “Sad Puppies” accept members who AREN’T published authors.
No, I’ve read the Belgariad, but that was over 20 years ago. I’d forgotten Belgarion’s name was Garion, even after your second note pointed out what you were referring to. Mostly people here make references to works by that guy who created Scar Gordon.
Even if they’re tougher vehicles, I’m reliably informed that a full on MRAP can be stopped by a barrier no bigger than a large tree trunk. Fell a tree, shoot out the running gear (differential, transmission, transfer case) paintball the windows opaque and set a fire under the thing. Did you folks know you can make a damned good substitute for napalm outta equal weights of styrofoam and gasoline? Burns hotter and longer than gasoline alone plus it stays in a nice – STICKY – blob while it is burning. A couple of ambushes like that and the government (excuse me SLAVERS) troops won’t wanna come out of their hidey-hole. Can you spell “fish in a bucket”, boys and girls?

? clarion bell..?? or carillon bells..
..puncture proof tires.. tho i was thinking ” Ewoks vs AT-ST.S”,, two big logs, an pop… tho more likely mine a bridge ,, an yeah burn em out…
‘Garion’… the first thing that comes to mind is Geryon, from Dante’s Inferno.
Huh. Curious. Geryon ferried people. Garion just did the same, albeit, for a hunt….
Surely I’m not the only David Eddings fan that reads TGW. That’s the last clue I’m dropping. You guys are NO FUN! 🙁

Unless they’re tougher vehicles that have been re-purposed.
Say, vehicles designed for harsher environments… Friday, Bill!

And the cat, as usual, sayeth nothing.
Does that cameraman only own one shirt? (And I have one just like it.)
