dumb leading the dumb… me personally , would never allow a crook back in the same field.. all he learned was to work around what got him caught.!!
hum.. by the looks of these three,, looks like a escort mission.. by the dress it looks like the two scouts (1 fighter with gambeson ) escorting a merchant, or possibly minor noble…
The crime was so vile that no one else would touch it, especially not the good reps.
Robert figured that these two would put up the best defense possible, if only to give the Empire a black eye.
And yeah, they’re foxes guarding the henhouse, but on a very short leash.
(Remember I said that!)
My guess as to Catian justice?
1) If you can survive for 48 hours in open country, you’re free to go, or
2) The feline equivalent of a cage match.
Either way, these boys are screwwwwwwwed.
I was assuming your 2), but 1) fits better. I think you’ve called it. They do have one advantage, that’s already canon: humans are endurance predators, not ambush predators like the Catians. They might be able to outlast their pursuers. Of course, at least two of these guys do NOT look like they are endurance trained. If that’s what it is, I hope camera drones will record the proceedings for the education of the Terrans that clearly need it.
I am curious about the terms under which these two were released. I’m sure it’s temporary, but they might be getting part of their sentence commuted for service to the Empire.
Sorry PC, but first scene with the Judge talking, I think it should be ‘came out of a coma.’ Great facial expressions on all the characters in the first half. Judge’s squinty eyes etc.. Good job thank-you.
Would you believe that squinty-eyed man was designed to be Santa Clause?
Came with a full beard and the red outfit.
I’ll have to use him in the Christmas strip.

The ‘cat says nothing.
Patience, Daniel. Patience.
