i’m guessing here.. but i think that is so they can have an exact time for over watch, for the main fleet while they are “Drooling.”..
Mr Cat, I don’t know how far along you are in the process of developing the combat parts of the battle for the Catian homeworld, but here is a link to a YouTube video which explores how archers might have fought historically. I could see the Catians having developed such a fighting style for their inevitable wars between clans (They WERE – at least in part – derived from human stock after all plus terrestrial felines of all sizes are known to fight amongst themselves on occasionally) and it could make for some exciting battle sequences.
As Teresa learns to use her power, she learns how to camouflage it.
