I dig the grav powered drone! Since the grav drive (as our story teller has told us) uses virtually no power, the operational time for the drone must be incredible. With a little fan in each duct connected to a generator, the operational time of the drones must be damned near unlimited.

Come to think of it, a grav drive duct such as are on all atmospheric craft should make a dandy power source. A fixed duct could provide continuous power regardless of wind. Who needs natural wind when you have your own wind generator with no moving parts except the generator except itself. Plus since the grav plates are essentially self-powering, you would seem to have a practical perpetual motion machine. Screw the first law of thermodynamics!

the grav plates are already in the craft.!! ..and.. i think the Wolf said that its not perpetual motion,, just manipulating whats already there

        I hate using science-fiction magic, but…
The grav drives don’t create energy, they pull it out of (somewhere else) through a tiny wormhole that they create.
That’s where the first one disappeared to when it suffered a runaway.
Scientists are trying to find a way to dump excess heat through that same wormhole, because heat is the enemy of spaceflight.
And the drones do use ducted drives like the Dragonflies, but can also hover and move by “attaching” themselves to
overhead objects like tree branches to be really silent.
Oil cooler is on Sportster. Temperature drop 17deg, cooler covered for 25 miles vs uncovered for the next 25.

.. ok.. i see what you mean bout “holsters” ,, panel 2 Pony is sitting on, or it’s in the box, of her knife holster.. .. wait not Pony ,, her sis, Doc..
and,, if you paint the drone light blue or light gray,, would be a lot harder to spot from the ground..

    ..yep.! mom still has it.!!

Catia is densely wooded in most areas. Drone will usually be flown under the canopy, or perched on branches.

    oh.! good on oil cooler..!!
..drones.. ok, cuz im use to them flying high…
AND,, not magic… look at ” Nicola Tesla ” ‘s grav drive… the “Magnetic” is already there ,, you are just manipulating it.. making it stronger ,, weaker…
also heat.. in a closed system,, how bout a “Heat recovery vents” system.?? HRV are used in modern homes, because they are made airtight.. an stale air , heat , an moister build up an cause problems…

Problem with heat recovery is that in a home, you are trying to save heat when the outside is cool.
In space, you are trying to get rid of it, as the ship is in a vacuum.
If you don’t, heat builds up inside the ship, and will cook everything.
That is why the ships are black, it’s the best color to absorb heat from inside and radiate it out.
They aren’t going to get close enough to an external heat source (sun) for the color to be a problem,
but radiate like a torch in infrared, which is a big problem for a warship.
