Bots from Russia trying to take it over. They appear to be targeting WordPress sites
in a massive way. That’s why this page won’t load sometimes, servers get overloaded.
I had 20-30 attempts to log into the administrator page per minute for a while there.
And people trying to leave comments promoting erectile dysfunction drugs have been a
problem since this site came online. Randall and I have been deleting 5-10 of those
comments each day, which is why a log in is required now.
For a Russian hacker to be attacking a webcomic where so many of the good guys and
even the main character are Russian is kind of… I don’t know, depressing?
Leftist hackers? Children playing? Obummer find out what happened to him and wants revenge? Sorry for this trouble for you. Does your hosting site have an explanation and a fix?
I am very pleased that King made this change — the whole story about the Wong delegation makes little sense without it. And treating the whole world (and his wording originally could have included humans on other worlds or the other sapient species) as subject states, pending subject states, or enemies was, I thought, not a good policy. No mutual defense treaties for now, no problem, but no friends, trading partners, friendly rivals, temporary allies of convenience, and so on, that was inefficient and inappropriate. How can you show your rules are better if you have no counter-example?
I am very happy King made this change. Not only does the whole story around the Wong delegation make no sense otherwise, but the previous one made every other nation on Earth (and from his original wording it could easily be interpreted as referring to humans on other planets and even the other sapient species) either a subject client state, a prospective client state not yet absorbed, or an enemy. Leaving no room in your worldview for competitors, trading partners, friends, or temporary allies of convenience is both too limiting and too — you should pardon the expression — draconian. How can you show your ways are better without counter-examples?
Speaking of which, have you penned the Constitution of the Dragon Empire? One thing I hope is conserved from its predecessor is the notion that there is and was Law without it, and that certain parts of that Law cannot be interfered with. The right of a free person to be armed or to speak his mind or to engage in activities that do not harm others, for instance, is part of that Law and not something “granted” by the Constitution.
Actually, I had King change the policy because of something you said (much) earlier.
I do value my readers’ opinions, after all, and you made a good point.
The closest I have come to outlining the Imperial Constitution was when Mr. Walker and Robert discussed a part of it in
the bottom half of TGW-072, and again in the storyline beginning with TGW-148. Those gave a look at the philosophy
behind it.
I doubt if I will get into too much detail, except as required by the story. I don’t want to limit future possibilities.

See my reply to Gary above.
I don’t think the Sinister ones (Lefties) have discovered TGW yet.
And I mean “Sinister” in the original meaning…
As opposed to “Dexter.”
Send Wildcat
Viktor is following Teresa’s lead from TGW-070.
Sorry about that, Bill M.
