Looks like my kind of dive.
Brick walls, booths and live music with a dance floor.
Now, if there was only a bottle of Wild Turkey 101 on that shelf behind the bar………..
@dan : he did not say,, but i would say, southeast USA , foothills, an more than 50 miles from any major city.. prolly south west of Chattahoochee national forest… kinda like “Greenbriar ” b
ut not as close…
sooo if i was there,, i would be at the distillery,, i’m more of a “jack of all trades”,, but i have my own still,, an know how to make all the “spirits” (( Desert Storm, had to show clowns how to make, cuz they were making themselves sick.. (unofficial))
Used to bunk with the mechs whenever we went to the field. Made hooch.
Captain caught us at it. Said “That’s a hell of a way to waste time… Does it work?”
He wasn’t a hard drinker, but he liked to stop by the shop every morning for a cup of coffee.
Mechs always had power and heat.

Whew catching up after a hiatus of viewing because of your site issues. Commenting on old stuff because I just got caught up. Re Heinlein’s Stilyagi: correct me if I’m wrong but the Stilyagi
were actually young adults and older teenagers, ‘hipsters’. The young kids used as ‘spies and eyes) were known as the “Baker Street Irregulars”. At least that’s how I recall it.
Hehe now I have a reason to reread ‘The Moon is a Harsh Mistress”. Also, did you ever hear the Glen Campbell song of the same name inspired by Heinlein?
I’d post a link but your comment section won’t let me.
Mycroft holmes.. an both was used… ( oh wait you mean the book, “Sherlock Holmes.”) .. Mike was the A.I., ,, so SFCGator is correct , Hazel was one of the bakers…
I’m sorry. Normally I don’t comment while catching up (Found this 3 days ago) but that top one is SO FREAKING FUNNY!!!! the PERFECT punishment (Pun intended)
Hey, welcome to the Wolf World(s). I appreciate comments, this comic
has improved a lot because of criticisms and suggestions from my readers.
As a new reader bonus, who would you like to see as a vote incentive?
I’ll make one for you.
I think Kathy is the prettiest and most interesting character yet. I love that she is overcoming her past and not letting it define her. I can relate to that.

That was me. Apparently one can comment without being logged in.
Wild Turkey is kept under the bar. There’s not much left in the Empire, so it’s expensive.
There is a distillery starting up, and craft brewers.
Which brings up an interesting question, where, in the former USA territories, is the Empire?

I’ve never really had a location in mind, somewhere between Seattle and Miami, I guess.
Well that narrows it down quite a bit. Thanks
So the former State of Kentucky COULD be in the Empire.
But I’ll shut up and let you tell your story.
