Ah yes, the 440 6pak, the only other engine I wish I could of had
other than the Chevy 396HO, If I was Kimi, I’d add a digital
speedo to the dash, those monsters SCREAMED! Throw in a
steel crank and cam, spin balanced, get the RPMs up to 6500,
rather than the 4600 they ran stock, MAN would that baby would fly!
Biggest down side of that motor was you fill it up, back out of your
drive way, stop and fill it up again.
I got my license in ’77 in a borrowed Baracuda with a six-pack
carb and a radical cam. You had to give it enough gas when
you put it in drive to not kill it, but not so much that it would
chirp the tires. I never pushed it, but I was in it once when
the owner did. That sucker was FAST!!!
