I am trying to find a couple of things.
1) Anime – a young man inherits his grandmother’s house, and discovers that it’s a boarding house
for female university students. He moves in, an American girl sets him up as a joke and the other
girls call him a pervert from then on. I have it, but can’t remember it’s name.
2) Old science fiction movie. Astronauts land on a planet, eventually learn that
there in an invisible mind that takes their bodies over one by one, to use their
ship to escape.There’s a battle which the aliens win, but the ship is damaged
so it can not make it to it’s desired destination.
The final scene is them discussing how they won’t make it home, so they’ll have
to land on a nearby planet and take it over, instead.
The camera moves to the porthole, the planet outside is Earth.
There was a B movie from the 50s that sounds like that,
they land on the planet, then one by one the crew get
taken over and either it kills them or they attack the
non-converted in an effort to take the ship. I believe it
was one of those trip to Mars movies, very low budget.
The flora and fauna were pretty dangerous and VERY fake.
Look up on YouTube for the worst sci-fi movies
in the (insert decade here) I seen it one on a
show that played on a weekend show called
“Creature Features” it’s where I got my love
for cheezy B-movies heh.
Panel 1 – still missing the print from yesterday. Panels 3 & 4,
and IT’S BACK! And from panel 4, it appears to be the same
print as panel 6 of episode 731.
I wonder if this is related to the reason dragonflies can’t “read”
her (and her boss?) or at least he -thinks- they can’t. We don’t
know yet that he’s right.
Ah, I get it, she’s naturally like how I was for 5 years,
NOT a good person to have around others. People and
places are meaningless, and since mine was due to PTSD
all it took was a trigger. Katrina? It’s hard to say. It’s
easy to fake a “normal,” hard to let the “you” out to
strangers. I can see why Matthew let her go, she’s not
someone you can trust. If she was ever triggered
she’d go full on serial killer, and a damned hard one
to catch.
That’s the Empire’s true power: Co-operation. “It’s mine!
Everyone gets nothing from my kill!” and so on. It’s
the biggest reason they lose, ME, ME, ME,
oh and you’re here too. Never works in any universe.
At least these guys get it, and are willing to work
with the Empire to keep their kind from being a
footnote in the history books.
Sociopathy is more common that we would like to think as I
understand it. But most sociopaths just have an incapacity for
empathy or any feelings about other people’s suffering,
happiness or unhappiness. They still function normally because
they have no urges to cause suffering either and suffering
people are, well, at best an unnecessary distraction.
Those who do, like myself, can learn to, but it’s
a constant battle. I still get the urge to beat
someone into pulp, but it’s not as bad as it was.
My wife is my anchor, I fear what will happen
when she passes. My sons are taking steps.
The Sonic is one of those. It took a week for
my sister’s passing to effect me…

With me, I was shattered. My shrink had to put me back together
in a “normal way,” basically, I can turn it off when I want, it’s just
harder to turn it back on. Emotions are a pain in the tookus, I’m
happier(?) when they are off. But, I needed them to be with
my wife, so not a hard choice.
This could get interesting.

Anime – “The Terrace Cafe and its Goddesses” maybe?
No can help on the Sci Fi.
Panel 4 – she sounds somewhat like Sergeant Squirrel.
Sounds like a fun anime, but that’s not it.
