The mark of any good leader, selflessness.
Teresa doesn’t want or need of anything,
just for her people to be happy and healthy.
Just like any other mother.
Panel 3 – Hah! License plate “JAP1”. First to get one.
Not ashamed of her heritage there. Not that one.
Panel 8 – Ah, in keeping with my thoughts last episode,
that it wouldn’t be for herself, but much, much more than
I envisioned. Well done, PC! Well done!!!
I don’t believe what the plate says really matters,
it’s the fact that you have one is what matters.
Cherry’s plate for her car says cherry,
with a couple of cherries as well as the letters.
All “Jap-1” means is it’s the first bike she has.
I had seen a video short on YouTude where a cop (white)
had pulled over a guy (black) because he believed the driver
has stolen the car because of the BMV’s paper plate was on
the car was from another car, not this one. The cop ripped
off the paper plate to prove the real plate was underneath
the “fake” plate, there was none. The cop was sued. You
can hear the cop’s disappointed “oh” on the video.
Oh nice wishes! Teresa wants to restore Catain’s
humanity and make child birth more normal. And it
opens up a closer relationships for bonded pairs too.
Yeah, yeah, dirty old man here 😛 I’m just saying it
would make it an option, as long as the Terran
understands it won’t mean the same for the Cat. I
wouldn’t make it commonly known, too many sicko’s
and why run the risk of harm for the uninformed?
Very few Catains would be interested, since the smell
and eyes/ears thing… That could also open up the
chance that Taritha might become Empress in time,
more so if she bonds with a dragonfly,
I’m sure that would give Teresa much joy too!!
I’m not good at reading people,
but Loki seems to be sincerely intrigued.
This might be just a test, but I also get
a bit of a Stargate vibe when an ascended
helps others to ascend as well. We’ll see.
Look out! Wish #3 should be entirely positive. #s 1 & 2,
I believe will cause massive problems for Catian society.
Increasing Catians’ over all intelligence is going to result
in more people being dis-satisfied with their lot. Wish #1
bodes to have massive effects on Catian society. If Catians’
lifespan is over all increased then the time frame for growing
up is going to increase. Kits will perforce be kits for a much
longer period than now. That will have massive effects on s
ociety due to Kits needing to be parented for a longer period.
I see opportunity for the iron law of unintended consequences
to bite Teresa in the ass bigly. I’m looking forward to Cats
finding out it was Teresa that brought down the new problems.
It depends on how it’s done. If the current reality is changed immediately,
yes, that will be rather problematic.
If it’s done over the next two or three generations, it might be noticed,
but the development will sneak into society.
While making a sun go supernova is an obvious change, it might not be
attributed to the Elder Gods or someone like them. The Empire could
claim they have developed a weapon that can do that and it would
work like a deterrent.
From the looks of it the Elder Gods prefer to work in more subtle ways.
But that remains to be seen.
Wishes too often come with unexpected consequences.
Caitians have superior senses,
physicality and reflexes compared to humans.
It would be true to Loki’s nature to grant Teresa’s
wishes while removing the Caitian’s superior abilities.
Catains were a “experiment” by a sick, depraved man that
liked to hurt people. So while the Cats are about 90-95%
human, sex and child birth is damaging and painful if it
isn’t with their own kind. This will fix all the blunders
and cruel plans that “doctor” had done. It’d be like going
to a bad doctor that messed up so bad you had to get a
different one to fix it. It’s been said before the Empire
stepped in, half the babies born would die and 1 of 10
mothers as well. That’s bad, and limits the desire to
have kits. This way, the odds are greatly reduced of pain
and damage for both the child and mother. Plus if they
aged like us and could be naturally more intelligent,
wouldn’t you want that? Their DNA is a mess, and taking
the opportunity to “fix” it only makes sense.
Ita’s great that she thinks about the Catians.
but they already are happy with/accept their lot.
you don’t want things that you can learn yourself is also good.
What about things you can’t fix?
I’m sure radiation is still a big issue on the planet.
Birth defects and death will go on the rise as radiation spreads.
I agree, they’ve had the short end of the stick far too long!
If Loki agrees, they will truly be a real species, not something
a sicko doc dreamed up in a fit of disgusting perversion…
I’m officially done with the “bed slingers” style of printers, they
are just too unreliable. My ender is so worn out I have to reconfigure
everything almost every print, the sovol is NOT what they claimed.
Part of the problem with both is they can’t hold the bed temp, I
borrowed my brother-in-law’s infrared temp gauge and 100 C is more
like 85-100 C, plus the Y axis is the bed, causing both ripples in the
prints and de-laminating. The better printers are where the Z axis is
on the bed, and the X and Y are overhead. The bed moves up and
down (Z) rather than the gantry. For nylon I need an enclosure
that holds at least 120 C otherwise the parts warp so badly it pulls
the bed plate up. I did find a new-ish filament called ASA, it’s a
hybrid of ABS and PET plastic. Nylon requires 260 C to start
melting, where ASA starts at 240 C. Also the bed temp has to be at
least 120 C or the part warps. ASA you can get by with 100 C.
Plus ASA handles out door weather almost as well as nylon.
By the way, ABS is house-hold water pipes,
PET is water/soda bottles.
ABS puts out a lot of fumes,
PET not so much, but pulls off the bed easily.
The mix seems to negate much of those issues.
Or so I’m told…
Cat-Man, a thought this morning: I like what Teresa is doing.
But is there any potential for one of those soon-to-be Advanced
Catians, to end up Becoming one of the bad guys?
I’ve been reading too many stories, starting with “The Monkey’s Paw”
and playing TTRPG’s since the early 70’s to not immediately start
thinking about consequences for any such wishes, especially those
“freely given”. With these: making the Catian’s intelligence and life
expectancy match Terrans’ (note: no limitation like Terrans within
The Wolf Empire, but at least not all humans) leaves the Catians
with more strength, faster reflexes and speed, and leave humans
only with greater endurance. (We’re still endurance predators, not
ambush predators.) That makes them net superior to humans and
will probably lead to humans becoming second class citizens in a
few generations. Will all these changes start with new kits born
henceforth or will it affect those now living? Will making them make
Catian DNA more like human, possibly removing the hard barrier
between the species and risking gametes producing viable embryos?
If so will they be sterile like mules? I personally think hybrids are
a bad idea, but PC may feel differently.
Of course, hybrids may work like the bunnies, with the egg just
picking any desired dna from the sperm and producing a bunny
with a bit of the father in it. Or, it may be an either-or where the
babies are to all appearances cat or homo with little to no visible
traits. Both have been done in the past as authors handle this.
I kinda doubt the genetic ban on terran and catain fertility issue will be
“fixed”, just the other issues with their longevity and the risk of
child birth. Teresa didn’t ask for that, and I feel there’s no reason to.
We won’t know if the “fix” will apply to current catians until the next
time they have a child, but I think it will effect the entirety of them.
Normal cats are VERY aggressive, even in mating, so fixing the desire
to mate to equal that of a terran would be dangerous, the sicko that
created them did have that part right. I’ve seen males beat the crap
out of neutered females just because they had no interest.
As far as the second class issue goes, keep in mind that Terrans were
few in number when the Empire started all this, getting the new
kingdoms to join has helped, but I suspect the Empire’s numbers are
still way lower than pre-fall population. Adding the human’s will help
that, but they are still a ways off from joining.
Spoken like a leader that I would follow
through the gates of hell.
Damn straight.
Frame eight. Teresa is a true Empress.
It fits her character throughout.
The mark of any good leader, selflessness.
Teresa doesn’t want or need of anything,
just for her people to be happy and healthy.
Just like any other mother.
Panel 3 – Hah! License plate “JAP1”. First to get one.

Now…..what will be “Loki’s” response?
The vibe I’m getting is he’ll say he needs
to talk to the other gods first, then a
collective “OH!” from the entire race will
happen heh.
Just for…
Ahmya bought a helmet at Big Mike’s.
It’s being painted to match her bike.
She’ll pick it up when her leathers are ready.
Oh nice wishes! Teresa wants to restore Catain’s

It’d be a real kick in the seat, should
Teresa earns a place among the gods…
I think she’s well on her way there already.
If she became a god, just imagine
the fun she’d have, plus her visiting
her loved ones discretely…
Look out! Wish #3 should be entirely positive. #s 1 & 2,

the empire which need big changes?

As a group or species, yes.
Teresa is correcting a deliberate evil that
was done to them by a sick, twisted man.
No other species has that history.
Ita’s great that she thinks about the Catians.

Of course. In fact, that’s how Clan Romani
got started, by one of the BadCats(tm).
But wait, there’s more.
(Pictures a group of cats and a group of Buns
acting out a play based on Westside Story) 😀
