I guess it’s obvious that I don’t respect the Ring Knockers.
The worst officers I’ve known were all Pointers.
But the best one was too. He was a real hardcase, thought he knew everything… but he did.
We looked out for him because as tough as he was, we knew that if things went sideways, he’d look out for us.
He proved it every day, in ways that most officers would never think of.

You are right with that statement. A smart El-Tee listens to his Sgt Major. Hopefully stupid ones don’t get everyone killed.
