“Freak” is only an insult if you let it be. Just like “geek” or “nerd”. Speaking as someone who will accept all three delivered in a friendly or comradely manner.
I have been. I was again reading this last night. They’re doing a hell of a job of keeping their cool and biding their time. I’ve also been wondering what these brats were going to do when the fashion changed again, and suddenly wearing Cat limbs was gauche. Unless there’s a supply of humans somewhere that have been engineered to be universal donors. Or Cats whose skins look human, at least from the neck down. Either is no more squicky than the current situation. Luckily, their lack of forethought is about to become moot.
I also wonder how Kelly will react when he learns about all this. He is not in remotely the same ethical or moral ground, but he may worry about casual observers identifying him with them.
Maybe a freak. Maybe NOT a monster. We’ll see.
Definitely not a monster and I don’t think a freak either. Now Loria has to try and get him out of there. Maybe the Catians will have an idea.

Imagine how the Cats must feel watching these spoiled brats walking around with their trophy limbs.

Many off them have been slaves, haven’t they? Keeping an unmoved face and as-invisible-as-possible should be the first thing they learnt.
Dick VanDyke show!
Good eye. I see it NOW.
Is it the ‘flying chocolate-chip pizza’ episode?
Episode 65, “The Masterpiece”, where they went to an auction and bought two weird candle holders.
My mother had the same ones.
Remember the playground rationale here? http://thegentlewolf.net/comic/tgw-512/
The city should just give this park to the local kids, they’ll take better care of it than the government ever will:

Kids defying government. Maybe America’s not in such bad shape after all.
Panel 4, is it a basic truth of human nature that every group must have another group to look down upon?
The Legion?

That’s exactly it. Good memory!
