for the cargo gun.. if they get to close,, rise up a foot an roll the whole craft,, now you don’t have a depress limit.. an her own should be coming out the wood work… she didn’t bring just one,, no way.!! .. thats the best time to attack…

So Falten is Top now? Cool. Also, this implies I was wrong and the Legion is still just one company. Guess not as many bandits being ‘recruited’ as I thought, or, likely, most of them don’t last long.
At this point, none of the other human worlds is aware of the Dragon Empire, as no communication has gone back through the wormhole. This raid will alert them, six months before the assault on Catia. And we still don’t know what the cloaked, barely detected presence was that started all this. The technology appears to be beyond the single group of ET humans we’ve met. Or did I miss something?
I should have mentioned it at the time. The cloaked alien ship was Katarr, the dragon’s.
Kathy and Viktor talked about how the dragons had been observing us for thousands of years in TGW-235.
Since the first dragon we saw was covertly observing humans without techno-aid I assumed that was the sort of thing you meant. It’s interesting that the other humans think this is a dragon world, as Pick told Chirk in the flashback. A dragon world inhabited by humans they are observing and manipulating at least to the point that the dominant language on the planet is equivalent to the trade language of the other humans at the time of first contact. There’s a lot of story here we don’t know yet, and I like that. I’ve been guessing it was another of the sapient species already mentioned as existing but not yet defined also observing us, but it being the dragons keeps things simpler for now.
The fact that there are other races will be dealt with later.
Remember, there are four wormholes in the Catian system –
1 leading to Terran (our) space,
Two leading to Human (slaver) space, and
1 leading to alien space.
Since the first dragon we met was silently observing humans without techno-aid, I assumed that was what was meant. Interesting that the ET humans think this is a dragon world, as Pick told Chirk in the flashback. A dragon world occupied by humans the dragons are observing and manipulating to the point that the dominant language on the planet is functionally equivalent to the trade language of the other humans at the time of first contact. There’s a lot of story here we don’t know yet, and I like that.

And we know of one wormhole leading FROM Terran/Dragon space, but we don’t know it’s the only one.
